S1 is basically the book. They continued but Margaret Atwood always part of the process so in that regard it feels authentic. I think itās as good as the book (until S6).
Forgot it ended with that, so I guess it comes from a god place. Just felt very cheesey in this context after a dire 10 episodes.

#TheHandmaidsTale was at its very best when it was incessantly bleak. You could easily go for 5 episodes without a single nice thing happening.
All the little victories, sentimental bollocks and happy tears spoiled it. And the ENDLESS slow motion shots to get the runtime up to 10 episodes? š sigh
