I love all cats, but I have a special affection for Siamese. My first cat looked very like this picture. She was a girl of very little brain but a large personality.

I stopped using Duolingo because it became garbage, and the AI stuff was a result of this rather than a cause. LLM-generated works are usually very low quality, and I tend to view companies who make a big deal out of adopting it as sending a very clear signal about their standards.

Hello! It doesn’t cost anything to repost but it helps me spread the word about my small business. My online shop is full of bold & colourful prints, homewares, accessories and stationery. I’m also available for freelance design work and art licensing. gailmyerscough.co.uk

Any help boosting this would be appreciated, thanks! (Lots going on for everyone, I know.)

135241, clearly.

Oh my goodness.

I think my favourite of the thread, although the others are pretty cool too! Is there such a thing as a non-awesome cat? No, there is not.

I have openings in my editing calendar. I do primarily developmental edits of novels and novellas, and I have over a decade of experience. More info and contact link here: www.kathowardbooks.com/editing Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

This is good!

I don’t know why I am reposting this picture of an actual baby, I just feel compelled somehow.

I mean, it does look like a painting!

I was going to read ‘The Mismeasure of Man’ but on the first page he namechecks his buddy Alan Dershowitz, and I was like, I don’t think I can do this.

You hardly ever see puffins these days. They were all the rage when I was a lad.

He forgot to type ‘FOX NEWS’.

This is well worth a full read. Gay men in particular have a tendency to gatekeep unless you have suffered in the approved ways. Which of course are defined by them to exclude you.

Splendid. Just a splendid cat all round.

As usual, this consultation does not make it very clear that you can just answer the questions you want, so if you have even the tiniest concern you can spend a few seconds submitting it before the 30th. www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/EHRC-code-...

“Overwhelming success, sir!” “Overwhelming?” “Yes!” “Even though they saved all their uranium?” “…Yes!” “And all their bomb-making equipment?” “…Yes.” “And we have no idea where it is?” “…Yes!” “…well, sounds like a win to me. Call a press conference!”

Hmm, has nuclear war happened yet? Not yet! Good start to the day.

Well it’s not like a group of hardline militants, some of whom believe that martyrdom guarantees heaven, backed into a corner, would do anything dangerous with a big pile of uranium!

Sunday evening kittens. LOOK AT THEIR BEAUTIFUL FACES!

How delightful. I am going to share more of the cat photos I enjoy, I have decided.

I thought the O2 would be too big to see anything but we were reasonably near so it worked out. I’m not convinced that would apply at Wembley though.

One shouldn’t expect a glorified monkey to appreciate poise and dignity.

Brief GeForce Now review. When it works it’s great, but it freezes for a few minutes at least every other session. Add to that you have to load up the service, load up the game, then load your save every time, and it doesn’t work out for me.

I’m not really a huge Fall Out Boy fan, but I enjoy the “who can belt with most vibrato” competition Brendon and Patrick have in ‘20 Dollar Nose Bleed’. Every time one of them sings, the other comes in a bit higher with a bit more vibrato. It’s pretty fun.

I really like this one. It is a very… catty.. cat. Yes I do have a PhD, why do you ask?

Cat, some assembly required.
