I've rated Deltarune chapters individually so far, so I don't see why I can't keep doing it. Deltarune has a very episodic feel to it anyway and I think it's fine to rate them individually instead of as a whole cuz that's what I'm used to seeing. Outlets did the same for Telltale eps back in the day

I'm struck by how similar the stories of OFF and Expedition 33 are. Not to a degree of plagiarism, but I'm just struck by it after playing both that you can read an anti-escapism angle for both, despite them having completely different methods of getting that across. Also both are made by frenchies

I really hope this becomes the big sleeper hit of the year, but sadly so far it hasn't attracted that many folks despite glowing reviews. I think that's truly a shame cuz they had a lot to prove with this game and they knocked it out of the park. If you're on the fence, atleast give the demo a shot

The former Persona 4 voice actors coming out and saying they're not gonna be in the remake is honestly really fucking lame behavior. Not because they leaked the remake. We've known the remake has been in the works for quite some time now. It just puts unfair expectations on the new P4 cast.

I liked it, but a lot of the talking segments were pretty vapid. I really liked Ving Rhames and Angela Bassett. They really gave 120 percent. The highlights of the movie were the Sevastopol and the final sequences.

3 hours into Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. This shit is the real deal. Really good feeling Zelda-like. Don't sleep on it if you love overhead Zeldas and metroidvania progression stuff. Was lost in time with it for the bit I played of it.

I feel like the context clues it gives to the player about relationships between the characters doesnt really lead to revelations or understanding of character actions. There's a lot of overt nihilism to the way this game pays off, and I don't want that to be what I take away from it but it is.

I don't have much to add to the parry discussion. It's not a mechanic I find inherently bad, but ways in which it's implemented sometimes disappoint me. The biggest one is when tells exist but govern under different rules. Metroid: Samus Returns and Clair Obscur are the biggest culprits of this.

I've seen both Scott the Woz and AVGN complaint about no end labels on cartridges, and I just wanna scream. There's no end labels on the cartridges, because THEY WEREN'T DESIGNED TO BE PUT ON THE SHELVES LIKE THIS NUMBNUTS! THEY'RE DESIGNED TO BE TAKEN IN AND OUT OF THE BOX THEY CAME WITH!

I'm biased ofc, but even if you aren't a Mother fan, this doc is great at showcasing pre web 2.0 communities and how they were, and they show that in a very unbiased way. There are aspects of how they organized their stuff back in the day where they bluntly state "we were just dumb kids lmao"
