Something the Conservative Party in London would do well to think on, next time around.

Immediately thought of this. Too funny.

What's going on with New Zealand?

That was... quite good, actually? Energy efficiency funding pledge honoured, significant support for public transport, green homes, and low carbon infrastructure. A big vote in support of net zero and climate action, even if Reeves did not mention them by name.

I remember it somehow became Established Fact that it was made out of onions. Despite clearly saying nothing of the sort on the label.

They should just call it High Tea and make a thing of it.
Also, having your main evening meal at 5.30 is very American and something I cannot agree with nor ever got to grips with when there. We'd try to get a table at 9pm to be told with a bewildered smirk that the kitchen would be closed by then.

In the UK, Elon Musk 13% approval, 80% disapproval (March 2025) makes him as toxic as any public figure - unusual to be more unpopular than Truss - with the exception of Putin.
His attack on Farage + support of Tommy Robinson split the only group (Reform voters) who were divided but favourable

Fooling no one. They should stick to discount cards and branded fleeces for their street cleaners.

Quite right. And the brass neck to say their recapitalisation would only work if they could be let off the fines for being dreadful over the years.

Ah is that right? I've got loyalty cards for BIDs round where our way in the West. Quite handy for a little discount at Wagamama or something. Didn't realise the BIDs stretched into these kinds of branding exercises too.

That's it. The bit around Holborn and Aldwych and the Strand between the river, British Museum, Covent Garden and the City. Meaningless bilge. I bridle at developers trying to call the bit around Euston the "Knowledge Quarter" but at least that has a kernel of sense.

I remember that. I guess "indifferent interstitial between Covent Garden and the City" was too long to put on the sign. The only time someone referred to it as "Midtown" was to deride the fact someone had tried to rename it "Midtown".

It's quicker if you liquify them.

"Air pollution at schools." Gob smacking.

This is really, really interesting. I would love to know how you deal with the elephant in the room. I have little faith that this gov could articulate it (let alone deliver the policies to go with it), but what does this kind of economic narrative look like?

Would never get that far. CPS wouldn't touch it.
