Liberal Jew Cub fan. Not sure which has brought me more misery. Also writer, misery TBA on that one. Torontonian by birth, Chicagoan by upbringing, New Yorker by design. Never threw anyone into a gulag.

London, mainly for the beer and a language I can mostly understand.

And I can't listen to anything with (English) lyrics while writing. I like classical, but also Brian Eno minimalism and mid-century jazz, with a partiality to Herbie Hancock.

Morricone is great simply for his inventiveness. (Cinema Paradiso is great tho forgotten.) I don't know much Rota outside of Godfather. The Lawrence soundtrack was written in six weeks, which is nuts. And yes, great writing music. Been using it a lot recently. (And Carmina Burana.)
