someone sat down in LA yesterday and the pigs immediately tried to trample him with a horse

Point remains that it absolutely should be patentless and I’ve thought many actionable thoughts driving past the Eli Lilly headquarters over the years.

I mean the insulin still under patent is very useful, it’s formulated to be either fast acting for quick adjustments, or long release for maintaining a good baseline blood sugar Old school pig insulin is a lot more complicated to dose.

the buoy I cling to is that the money still doesn’t make any fucking sense for all this AI stuff and the bottom has to fall out sooner or later

Andor and Michael Clayton have a thematic throughline, in that both are about a man realizing “oh fuck I’m the protagonist”

My gf works at the Georgia aquarium and I was getting dispatches from the night the convention rented the place out. strange night

never been a huge fan of the visual style Gunn has settled into since 2020. colors here still kinda look ugly as sin to me looks good otherwise!

you just don’t know what inflection the man will use syllable to syllable

Those 40 minutes after the team lands on Scarif and before Vader shows up really sing for me though

I never really disliked it but it has big issues and contains many original sins that have haunted Star Wars under Disney’s custody

Saw is genuinely one of my favorite characters in this whole franchise, and 60% of it is the completely out of left field acting choice Forrest is bringing

illustrates that being a chill buddy and being able to toss back some cold ones with the boys are some of our most powerful tools

if Manor Lords has taught me anything its that they did tend to a small garden, its just that it was their side hustle taken care of after the day's work in the grain fields was done lmao

I see them bulldoze camps here in Atlanta so fucking often and the hate it stokes inside me for the city government is so extreme. I feel the bile churning if I see a cop even talking to a homeless person

Aww that's sweet. Your sisters always seem like nice kids from what you post.

Set aside concerns about other nutrients, vegetables aren't very calorically dense to begin with. Eat a whole tomato a day for a year and that comes out to barely more than the calories an adult needs for a week and a half.

Honestly kinda glad I didn’t mention it because the extent of his involvement ended with the parody children’s book that preceded the webtoons by like a decade. Now if I had met the Chaps that’d be a different story

Met a tv director at a film festival the other night, had a nice chat about some of his work I liked (he did the first couple episodes of The Penguin most recently) It was hours later I remembered he co-created Homestar Runner. Still kicking myself for not mentioning it

this is why I am just taking "detective story set amidst a labor conflict" and running in whatever direction that takes me not even a video game tbh

the only pronoun that gets a rise out of me is “it”

Remember The Titans is an original screenplay about the real football coach Herman Boone, Oppenheimer is an adapted screenplay about the real nuclear physicist because it is based on the biography about Oppenheimer, American Prometheus by Kai Bird

Also inspiration by true events doesn’t make a screenplay adapted, as long as it isn’t based on a previous creative work about said events.

A toy can be a creative work if it is a character or features some sort of recognizable story to it, yes. Like, a stick and a hoop isn’t a creative work, but GI Joe is, a frisbee isn’t, but Clue and Battleship are.

/creative/ work

Marketing materials could be relevant yes, but the toys themselves also count as published material

Also the use of characters like Midge and Allan and their place in the history of Barbie was one of the most entertaining parts of the film, and also one of the most obvious elements to point to as the screenplay being an adapted work.
comment in response to post
That is not the case. The categories are divided based on inspiration by preexisting creative work, that is not strictly limited to pre-existing, creative /narrative/ work. Barbie is an adapted screenplay the same way Mars Attacks! is an adapted screenplay.

She’s an AC so it’s not inconceivable I run into her again

She had fled the theater by the time I started trying to trigger my gag reflex
