I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.

Dammit, I have turned off the Reds. The rain delay was sponsored by "Ark Encounter." Then a 30 second ad for Ark Encounter. (Look it up - the creationist propaganda outlet kicks my life work in the groin.) Also a local meat provider crooning about how they are dedicated to God & His People. Oy.

This takes me back - I'm going to RIVERFRONT STADIUM tonight! Oh, it's not for the Cincinnati Reds. It's for the USL semifinal, Tampa vs. Dallas. Seats are quite a lot more expensive than for the Reds in the 80s, but also quite a lot closer to the action. :-)
