That was a pretty rough SGA. They can’t all be winners, but yeah. I will say RE9 was nice to see, although it was more of a confirmation of the inevitable. And I’m no Yakuza/RGG sicko but Stranger Than Heaven looks cool as hell. I’m sold on that now.

Mario Kart World’s soundtrack is phenomenal. It feels like a radio station of Nintendo classics remixed in all sorts of different genres and styles by some very talented musicians and producers. Not necessarily anything revolutionary, but just really tastefully done? It’s good!

Mario Kart World is the kind of game that reviewers describe as “rip-roaring fun” And it is! The open world stuff has not impressed me at all, but the core racing experience is as good as it’s ever been, maybe better? I’m no Kart Enthusiast, but yeah. It’s a good time. It’s a rip-roaring ass game.

The rush of beating bosses in Nightreign might be even stronger than in most Souls games. You have to hope you've got a good team, hope you get good drops, maximize time to lvl up as much as you can, and then beat the boss after a 30+ minute run. It's an even more involved buildup to that moment.

Early impressions of Elden Ring Nightreign: It's bizarre, but it works. Not only that, but it's got bona fide FromSoftware moments you might expect from their mainline single player games, as a little treat. It's super interesting, and after 5 hours it got its hooks in me. Excited to play more.

Despite it being a 3 player co-op experience, Nightreign is fucking hard. Granted, I’m still very much getting the hang of things, and I’m playing with random people via matchmaking, but the first major boss has been a brick wall for every group I’ve been in so far.

Finally got around to playing Black Mesa, the Source engine remake of Half-Life 1 that took nearly 15 years to release. Overall was really impressed by it! A nice reminder of how incredible the original game was. Still one of the absolute best FPS single player campaigns ever, Xen and all.
