I'd like to take this moment to point out the exchange when Troi asks Riker what he wished for, and he just smiles & she gives him this flirty little slap in the arm
BECAUSE SHE CAN READ HIS MIND
What'd he wish for, Deanna? Hey, hey, what'd he wish for though

So...if, and I'm just saying *if* Musk & Trump were deliberately gutting all safety, security & enforcement apparatus, in order for, oh say Russia, to attack American infrastructure causing nationwide collapse... how would that look different from what's happening?

Neither of Trump's terms count (because he's the fascist). That's 2. Cleveland's second term doesn't count (because they're nonconsecutive and he's still just 1 guy). That's 3.
47-3=44.
Sorry for the "math" quip, I didn't mean to be rude.

Obama was the 44th president, because his terms were consecutive. Grover Cleveland's terms were nonconsecutive, so he was the 22nd AND 24th president, like how Trump is the 45th and 47th.
You can just look up the list of how many people were president, then subtract Trump, if this math is too hard.

Cleveland was #22 and #24, still technically only one guy

Pretty sure Grover "The Nonconsecutive Chief Executive" Cleveland only gets counted once

There is nothing in the universe more terrifying than someone you love and trust telling you they're going to hurt you. Locutus is the death of a father, the betrayal of a best friend, and the fall of a beloved institution, all in one horrible moment.

His impatience is strategic. They're overwhelming people with so much horrific shit all at once that everyone gets instantly exhausted & demoralized. Basically shock & awe but with democracy as the enemy.
And it appears to be working.

Lest we forget: Data, a character who never fails to remind us he is not human and has no emotions, given the choice of any word in any language in the galaxy, chooses to name his child "Beloved."
I'm not crying, we're all crying.

Making it clear they'd rather have a fascist to performatively sneer at than to actually fight and work for the people they claim to represent.
People are gonna die. More people than we can imagine. People we love. And they're printing joke slogans on shirts for likes.

Reading it now on your recommendation. This never happens to me - I literally can't seem to put it down. The more I read the more I'm drawn in. So glad I took your advise & didn't learn anything about it beforehand.

For the kindergarteners in the audience: "military coercion" is a nice way of saying "invasion."

This is how democracy dies. With one side calmly, obediently following protocol while the other side sharpens their knives.
Nobody's storming the Capitol, but rest assured accepting Donald Trump as president is gonna have a higher body count than Jan 6 2021.

Sure. Who knows. My concern isn't "is Adrian Dittman a real person or not," my concern is "is the richest & most powerful man on earth a raving psychotic with nazi sympathies & the mind of a spoiled 13-year-old"
His behaviour makes the answer to the latter really clear, regardless of the former.

And while it is entirely possible this is not true & Musk is trolling here, I think we need to acknowledge that that, if true, is just as weird and sad as if he really was creating fake stan accounts & spending hours posting on multiple platforms as them
