How many grade schoolers had a similar question on one of their math tests? I admittedly got it wrong, once, on the test. Learning used to be considered an academic success.

There are many factors that play a part in convincing plenty of folks, not just white able bodies folks, to lean toward authoritarianism and facism.

We have known this since the 90's and small trials in the USA have duplicated similar results. We are just too tied to our misconceptions to do it strategically and consistently.

Am I the only one who gives those guys props for daring to be part of an open meeting? Our folks can't seem to meet with the "public" without the people in attendance being curated. We're definitely a red state 60/40ish (KY) but they haven't had an open meeting in years.
