Those films were in no way "explicitly right wing", and the only people still talking about them are haters like you who remain incensed that ANYONE could DARE enjoy a trilogy of films from a decade ago that you personally don't.

He's obviously arguing that Raimi is *not* an auteur.

Actually no it's not, because it's not one of his "jokes" about how *everyone* to the right of Bob politically should be herded into camps and eradicated.

...What?

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Kamala Harris is not my "idol". I'm simply pointing out the reality that leftists failed to vote blue as a bloc, and so the alt-right has put *their* idol in power again, and the world is on the brink of WWIII.
comment in response to

Nothing *of value* at least. Performative protest that amounts to fiddling while Rome burns. If leftists were capable of holding power instead of endlessly critiquing it, they would have *all* voted for Kamala Harris. Without reservation or complaint.

Everyone who cares should have voted for every Democrat on the federal ballot *last year* if we were to have any hope of saving the country. Specifically, they should have voted for Kamala Harris. But they didn't, so Donald Trump is president again, and the country *can't* be saved.

Change *my* heart? I'll have you know I voted for Kamala Harris without reservation or complaint. Just because I don't believe everyone who's ever worn a MAGA hat deserves the gas chamber doesn't make me a far right sympathizer.
comment in response to

Movies also shouldn't cost so much that they *have* to make a billion dollars to break even.
comment in response to

*sigh* Bob is not saying MAGA "beliefs" should not exist. He's saying every single American who voted Republican in the last two decades should be *executed* to usher in the geniocratic utopia he believes he's owed. Just because someone *doesn't* believe that doesn't make *them* MAGA by default.

It's accelerationism to go online and endlessly undermine the only outcome that would have kept this country from descending into fascism, all because she and Joe Biden failed to ride into the Levant on a white horse and dismantle the Jewish state.
comment in response to

Why, because I don't complain about the dems endlessly on the internet while Donald Trump wipes his ass with our civil liberties?

How about you fuck off, accelerationist.

People like you who "held your nose" to vote for Kamala and ran home to complain on social media about how much it pained you are the reason this is happening in the first place. Either we ALL vote blue ENTHUSIASTICALLY AND WITHOUT COMPLAINT, in EVERY election, or the country falls and we all die.

I'm not getting into a semantic argument with you. Goodbye.

"These people" are only still talking about Snyder's Superman at all because people like *you* won't shut up about how much you hate it a decade after MoS.

When I heard NPH I honestly thought it was Yuri Lowenthal (Insomniac Spider-Man) doing a Ryan Reynolds impression, which would have been hilarious.

I think I held out for a handful of hours, until I got sick of the incoherent dub.

It's not fine to be mean to *other people* for daring to enjoy entertainment that you don't.
comment in response to

Alternately Bob could just stop making endless mean spirited "jokes" about the Snyderverse for the engagement and this guy would leave him alone...but we all know that's not gonna happen.
comment in response to

Bob won't move on because he *insists* on posting about the now long defunct "Snyderverse" and calling anyone who dares enjoy it an alt right goon to morally justify his obsession. He won't be satisfied until anyone who *dares* to enjoy these movies is eradicated from the face of the earth.

She looks like her Witcher 3 model, ported to UE5. Which is pretty much what it is.

It's obvious that the people who want the show to be more like the game are the people who *actually* liked it half a decade ago. I promise you, they do exist.

You call it "being a little hyperbolic". I call it an authoritarian dogwhistle.

Are you serious?

I'm not making anything up. Bob's been making veiled threats against anyone he deems inferior for years...and gaslighting his followers that he's just telling "jokes" whenever he gets called out on it. All his favorite catchphrases like "Thinkers vs Believers", "stupid people shouldn't exist" etc.

I would hope we're not *all* thinking that Republican voters are subhuman animals that deserve to be eradicated. Either way, my gripe is that Moviebob is no better than the lot of them, in spite of his endless claims to the contrary.
comment in response to

I am not. I voted for Kamala without reservation. In fact I happen to sincerely believe Trump's reelection to be humanity's inciting extinction event. I think future generations will look to this election as the beginning of the end for the human race. I don't see us coming back from this.

I'm not one of those people, and have given you no reason to believe otherwise. I have no idea how you got there from me criticizing Moviebob tbh.

You're talking about a stranger, who you know nothing about.

Notice I said "Republican voters", not "fascists". Contrary to popular belief they are not the same thing, and should not be equated.

The only time I can recall using the term "common sense" on this website is in reference to the fact that the U.S. shouldn't provoke Israel into starting World War 3 to make leftists feel better about voting blue. If you're digging into my profile to make fun of me, I'm not the one with the problem

Here's one.
comment in response to

Seriously? He's spent years touting his intellectual superiority over "subhuman" Republican voters, and stopping just short of saying they should all be rounded up into camps and shot so he can live in the better world he's "owed"...and gaslighting anyone who calls him out on it that he's "joking".

No one's attaching their self worth to anything. There's absolutely nothing wrong or sad about being happy when something you enjoy is being enjoyed by others. Nothing at all.

*sigh* CinemaSins is not responsible for any Live-Action Disney Remake sucking. CinemaSins is not responsible for *anything*. If film execs take a comedy YouTube channel seriously, it's their own fault.

You don't know what you're talking about. It's a fad that corporations are gambling on that will burn out as soon as they start losing money on it.

AI is not an existential threat to humanity. It is a tech bro fad that will peter out just like Crypto and NFTs. Get a grip.

And every year CoD makes a billion dollars. The only game to outsell it in the last 15 years was Hogwarts Legacy (another maligned AAA game). Get back to me when Mario outsells CoD and you might have a point.

She already has all the money in the world. She could retire tomorrow and never write another word or make another dollar from WB and still fund her lifestyle off interest alone.

The problem with that is, people *don't* change. Not in any way that matters. "I am not the same man!" is not a legal or moral defense.

Yes, but there are always unforeseen complications in development. Ideally pre-production planning should account for that, but they never do.
comment in response to

In that case, it should have been 2026 from the start. Avoiding crunch should be a priority from the *beginning* of development, not just at the end.

Many people, including LGBT people, are *alive* because of their "engagement" with the Harry Potter IP, because it allowed them an escape from the misery of their lives. Just like all other works of popular art. The only way for them to stop "engaging with the IP" would be to kill themselves.

Bob's just trying to invent a spurious connection between the people he hates and some movies he hates from a decade ago, both of which he *refuses* to shut up about, because hating everything and everyone that in his own mind are even vaguely right wing has become his entire brand.
