The Obama Administration traded away a ton of advantages in Syria so that relations with Russia could be "reset." This resulted in the survival of Assad. Advantage in Ukraine was also traded for JCPOA. Now Assad is gone, and I hope the same fate awaits Putin. Or, at minimum, victory for Ukraine.
