To play where exactly? In Mbappe or Bellingham's positions?

Same literally just finished it a few mins ago and just started rogue one.

I love that Kovatic gets an assist for that! 😂

Would you rather he went to Real Madrid on a free in 12 months?

He's also been a liability on plenty occasions when he's not been knackered this season. If he's playing silly buggers with his contract, we should sell him this summer and replace him

He really has been awful for a couple of months now. Certainly since before southampton

Ah right. True

Really? Whose?

I hope we do! Them giving our players a guard of honour, then our players lining up to clap for them would be great

Nah. They might have had talks and an agreement in principle, but a contract sounds far fetched. He wouldn't commit contractually with a penalty like that.

I agree. But from other fans' perspectives, the only opportunity they have to tell Trent how they feel is during the match. I guess it also serves as a warning to other players that you don't get to say "this means more" then wind down your contract and leave on a free to a rival. Konate take note.

Also (3) they left on our club's terms, because (4) they were past their peak

Fans booing today was counterproductive, like when we played Man U on 5th Jan, but I think the fans needed today to tell him that what he's doing is not on. I expect it to return to ambivalence for the remaining 2 games – if he plays.

I think Trent thought he'd go with everyone's blessing, like Bobby, Sadio or Milner. But those players went on the club's terms, after their peaks. It's his prerogative to run his contract down to get a fat signing on fee at Real Madrid, but don't expect a pat on the back.

Weird. It kind of plays into the narrative Sky and other clubs' fans push of 'only' winning 2 Premier Leagues, whereas the Wall of Champions does it better by combining them.

Why is there a premier league trophy with 2 under it at Kirby? The club usually show the old and new trophies and a joint total of 20.

Haha! 😂 Imagine if Trent says he would have stayed if we'd had a better neckline!

Have you noticed the common theme of the kits we've worn when we won the league in 19/20 and this season? Pin-stripes both times!

Agreed.

Not sure if it beats yesterday for the neutral, but Barca beating Liverpool 3-0 in the first leg in 2019, then Liverpool winning 4-0 in the second leg was an awesome tie. Similarly, Barca coming from 4-0 down to win 6-5 v PSG in 2017 was epic!

We literally tried to do that to Jude Bellingham, with Trent trying to entice Jude to Anfield. Well, they'll get to play together after all...

Something like £1m a day would be fair. I.e. £12m to release him 12 days early. Otherwise, tough.

Ferrari are terrible at team strategy. Have been for a few seasons

Compare that to all the times Cucurella has grappled Salah without being penalised!

He literally just passed it to Neto. Nothing special. I don't get why they're going on about Palmer. Neto created the goal!

It's a shame that Lewis is consistently a couple of tenths off Charles. I hope he's just adapting to the new car, but it makes me wonder if Lewis has lost his edge. I hope not.

Agreed and to extend that idea, they must be instructed to remain behind until a certain corner. E.g. give back the place into corner 1 & remain behind until at least the exit of corner 2 – to prevent them giving back the position on the outside of 1 corner & taking it back on the inside of the next
comment in response to

Hmm, I struggle to see that. In 2019 & 20, Lewis was at his peak and would have been #1 driver with team orders favouring him too. In 21, could George have got more points than Max and Lewis? Doubt it.

Who does he think he's beating 5 years earlier, Max or Lewis?

I feel like this is written about me. It's always too loud so I just have to pretend I heard what they said

We played 5 matches in 15 days, including 120+ mins vs PSG a few days before the final, whereas they had been resting players.
Now they've played the same team 7 in a row including 3 in a week. They're showing their tiredness now.

I'm so glad you've rustled up some stats to back up my gut feeling. I'd sell Robbo, keep Kostas as no2 and sign a new 1st choice LB

But he should have been booked earlier for kneeing merino in the thigh after the ball had gone
