terrific NPR episode on barriers to diverse representation in clin trials. In hum subs, we learn about Tuskegee experiments etc. but when drilled down the big factor is lack of respect and low perceived beneficence from physicians. I was surprised - most people didn't even know about Tuskegee

Really? I'll try that. Thanks Jeff! I recently also discovered that soaking the carafe once a week w/ boiling water and a dishwasher pod pulls out the burnt residue that you can't really even see. That bumped up the coffee taste even more.
