the team of people over at the hei network put in does not go unnoticed. the amount of technical planning that had to happen to make tonight is unfathomable to me. there’s nothing else like this show and i just fall more in love with it as time goes on. thank you to everyone who made tonight happen❤️

and john fogerty playing “have you ever seen the rain” was painfully ironic..
asking a crowd of LA residents “have you ever seen the rain?”
like did anyone brief him on why everyone’s gathered there? it’s for that exact reason my guy 😭

I was 8 years old at the time, and our car was stuck in traffic for 2 hours before we moved a mile. I kept watching the flames coming closer and closer down the hill and wondering if we were gonna be okay. My dad was wondering how long he could run through the choking smoke with 2 kids in his arms.

I hope there’s containment soon too 😬 I’m also in Colorado and was evacuated for Waldo Canyon, and I can absolutely feel the fear and devastation of these residents. My grandparents house ended up burning and I wouldn’t wish digging through a foundation pit full of ash on anyone

this is actually hysterical, seeing gregg in like actual commercials is like seeing a moose in downtown chicago. how did he get there.

Thank you!! It’s been a tumultuous 2024 but it’s good knowing I’m heading strong into 2025 :) I truly thought I would just keep thinking about it forever, but it hardly crosses my mind anymore :)

It would be foolish not to mention the incredible group of session musicians that played on this record, including Chuck Rainey, Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, etc.

to Robbie Robertson of “The Band”, and subsequently helped Hirth produce the record. The record plays around with different styles, but executes them flawlessly, mainly art rock, neo-folk, and latin jazz. “Silent Movies” features a beautiful steel guitar arrangement that catches your ear right away.

one time i was hammocking and being super quiet so a fox squirrel climbed up the tree beside me and took a nap on a branch. i yearn for that level of peace in 2025

ingenious one. Each of the instruments used here sound different than you would expect them to, especially the guitar. It gives the song almost a foreign quality, like there’s something going on in the background that you can’t put your finger on.

but due to poor album sales, she was dropped by MCA in 1976. The track here came out in the previous year’s record, “Moon Bathing”, which oozes that 70’s summery pop sound that I love so much.
