Once it used to be that people feared a knock on the door at midnight. Now in the once was land of "๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐

Agreed. Biden should have also stepped down in 2020 and opened up process to select new leader. And, as much as I admire and respect RBG, she should have stepped down earlier to allow a younger Dem Judge to take her spot. Dems played a part in this horror. Want the Dems to have Sanders-like courage

He doesnโt matter. Trump is the phenomenon, Vance is the hanger on - like Hitler and Goering.

Vance does not have Trumps charisma. He wonโt matter.

Thatโs NOT acceptable. Laws should be in place so that any politician who engages in such behaviour is removed from office immediately. Society gives too much leeway to such behaviour. Laws would tell us all, nobody deserves to be treated with disrespect. It would translate to private lives as well.

I just can't understand how anyone buys into this absurd system. The more you pay, the less your kids attend school. Oh, and the more you pay, the more you have to pay for external tutors to ensure the school maintains its academic ranking

How else is a brain-worm addled, former heroin addict overshadowed by his bigger than life father and uncle supposed to claim his spot in the sun? Being responsible for thousands of childrenโs unnecessary suffering and death is right up there as an attention grabber.

Eleven private schools received more than $3m from donors in 2023, topped by St Aloysiusโ College in Sydney with $9.1m. All tax exempt.

Australia, 63.4% students attend public schools, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2024. This means that the majority of Australian children are enrolled in government-funded schools. The remaining students are divided between Catholic schools (19.9%) and independent schools (16.8%).

Around 50/60% Australian children attend public schools.
Federal government funds 20% public schools vs 80% private schools.
State and Territory Governments fund 80% public schools vs 20% private schools, supposedly.
Private schools are tax exempt. Itโs not an equal playing field. #auspol.

He's fine with that. He's been telling people for years not to vaccinate their children because he is a sociopath who does not care if other people die, including children.

Ladies, if the only reason why theyโll let you in now is because theyโre going broke, maybe you can find a much classier inclusive place to eat at

The 'concept' sounds okay - "the home of bohemian Melbourne . . a place for artists, intellectuals and business leaders to share ideas and good companyโ - but something tells me these chaps are probably not really practicing the concept ๐

Every time someone says Melbourne, I think about Melbourne, FL which is not that great. But the one you're talking about sounds very cool.

Melbourne Australia is the very definition of cool. You should visit, or - given you are living in the US - migrate.

I prefer not to use public transport.
By driving to work, I'm freeing-up space and govt spending on public transport for others to use.
I'm conscientious and generous like that.
Therefore, the government should subsidise me driving my Bentley to work by paying for my rego and insurance.

Sadly I think it is more insidious. They are playing the long game to spread more lies and disinformation to make Australia a far right wing christian country. Just like MAGA in America.
