I too have been thinking that this is all a little too close to a WWE script to rule out the possibility it’s just a little show for us. I’ll only be dissuaded from this belief if Elon (the designated villain who did all the government cutting) actually does lose his billions $ in GOV contracts.

Notice that they just let him lie and make up a law that Harvard violated (“ideological capture”) with zero pushback & then suggest an appointing an ombudsman to oversee how the University is run is a reasonable solution to a problem that the right wing are inventing.

Wasn’t this spelled out in Project 2025? Musk comes in and breaks things up quickly and fires a lot of people but then leaves so he can take the heat rather than Trump being blamed by his base. In return Musk gets investigations into his companies cancelled & billions in new contracts.
