part of the experience! I am pretty sure i've got a piece of claw embedded in my thumb from the 1998 family boil

90% of the lobster ive ever had has been at a boil, but I cannot fathom paying more to have to crack those fuckers open for the experience

yep, just a dumb set up from the get go, and we even had a non-dress rehersal yesterday too!
comment in response to

had rehersal at 10-12m lunch, costume check 1-230, i got to get out for a beer and buy a dumb hat at least, now it's drop off for the performance at 445, show from 530-7. and probably something like mcdonalds on the way home

We just got home from costume check, have an hour to eat and then off for the show

I just wanted to eat a steak, drink a few beers and play new vegas but I got 3 hours of prep/rehearsals and 2 hours of show

but have you considered that they need to change things for the sake of changing them without caring about actually trying to make the team good or better?

The very specific kind of stupid that comes from the indomitable belief you are actually smart

He also cant drink coffee and read at the same time

I would be way more embarrassed to blend in than get 'look at that idiot' looks
comment in response to

Note, wearing a stupid cowhoy hat ironically still garners bad looks
comment in response to

Which would be good, but i have zero trust they have the management team to do that

Being better than mccman is like saying wiping your ass with a pinecone is better than poison ivy
comment in response to

Sure, if you also want to argue that Robertson deserved top line minutes
comment in response to
post
Exactly, he barely played at 5v5, thats the point, so did Robertson. Those numbers dont mean anything because the sample size is miniscule
comment in response to
post
You cant just ignore how awful domi was most of the playoffs and say he was good in them. Literally everyone was calling him out on awful play until like game 5 of the panthers series
comment in response to
post
Except that domi played so little on 5v5 that his impacts are liars, just like robertson. That was the point. Domi had massively negative impacts, thats why berube gave laughton most of his evens
comment in response to
post
Yeah, i dont see him getting more than kampf and he's at least a decent 2 way bottom 6er with 'grit'
comment in response to
post
I guess Robertson was the best player on the team by far then
comment in response to
post
Oddly, somehow one of the better choices if they're looking for 'that thing'
comment in response to
post
Dont disagree there, the bottom 6 is not good, but they need guys who dont give up what offence they do contribute. Not guys like domi
comment in response to
post
He, at best, shows up for 2 games a series, he didnt even show up for that in two series this year
comment in response to
post
I like my middle six scorers to not take idiotic penalties with clockwork regularly and be supernova levels of bad defensively. Even without my personal issues with him he simply isnt good, and certainly has not been good in the playoffs
comment in response to
post
Except the difference is those guys (save mccmann who was awful) were useful in spite of the penalties. Domis positive impact was washed away by his issues 10x over. He was terrible and two or three guys being worse isnt a defense of that
comment in response to
post
Yeah, dallas fans want to move on for a reason
comment in response to
post
Domi took bad penalties, blatantly dumb ones at the worst times
comment in response to
post
Doesnt mean much when he gives it all back at 5v5 and in terrible penalties
comment in response to
post
Lorentz, Paccioretty, Holmberg, and Laughton were all consistently better than Domi was, without question, and two of them werent very good
comment in response to
post
and he'd have lost to the panthers and bruins a bunch
comment in response to
post
because that weird sect of fans thing Domi is a skilled rat and not just a guy with no impulse control who can make a real nice pass once ever 3 games
comment in response to
post
he could have showed up for more than 1.5 games out of the 13 and not needed to spend all his time on the power play to get 0.5 ppg
comment in response to
post
7th in ice time for forwards, played less than half his minutes at 5v5, he was sheltered as hell. And no, he was not good at all, empty calorie points dont mean he was good. Berube buried him so he could play 4th liner laughton over him at evens
comment in response to
post
yeah, people love to project weird things onto guys like Domi, like the dude is 30 years old, he isnt gonna morph into something he never ever was.
comment in response to
post
except he didnt produce outside of like 2 games, and he needed terribly sheltered minutes to do it. Domi was awful for 98% of the playoffs, like unplayable for most of it. He was not even in the top half of good for the leafs
comment in response to
post
but if Marchand played for the leafs he'd have 0 finals games
comment in response to
post
the only downside is that there is no way trump or his cronies even noticed the disrespect
