just because it’s queer doesn’t make it positive.

the show doesn’t support queer people. it portrays them horribly, and makes queer people look like shallow manipulative assholes. that’s not a matter of preference.

but it’s not worth enduring the garbage of the show to find a queen. this particular episode was like the baseball bat walking dead episode that helped me decide that i never need to watch it again. not interested anymore.

i would love for a show that celebrates drag that isn’t just a vehicle that resembles a real housewives show.

they’re talented performers, fucking focus on that, not this insipid manufactured drama. this makes me miss competitive shows like face-off that focused on the actual work and talent, and not idiotic personality warfare from toxic, narcissistic assholes.

i will never understand why, especially in this day and age, they create entertainment that promotes queer folks manipulating and demeaning other queer folks. being a mean gay is not a personality. i just do not understand why someone would want watch it.

i create mute and block lists and share those, but screen caps are also good .

i think it’s that Elphaba is written, in the musical, in a very “person of color” perspective, and the book… well, it never really resolves anything real about her. it does go to her perspective but i still knew very little about her that i could enjoy as a character. likely on purpose.
