Yep that’s the story today. And the next story is how we funnel these millions of new people into sustained local organizing in service of democracy.

No Kings Day was one of the largest days of protest in US history. From deep red small towns to our largest cities, millions of people turned out to make it clear that the American people will not bow to fascism. #NoKings

A proper headline. Take note, @washingtonpost.com

This is a United States Senator mocking the assassination of a Minnesota legislator and her husband. He pretends to be a good Mormon. He’s a sick fuck.

😐

Trump has not called Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in the aftermath of the assassination of House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman. www.startribune.com/trump-attack...

"Again and again, I arrived at the same conclusion without fail: no, my eyes did not deceive me and my standards are not too high and I’m not being unfair. That was, hands down, the worst military parade I’ve ever seen." charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/the-worst-...

I'm loving all the videos of yesterday's protest but especially this wedding party that decided to join in

To our friends & allies across the globe who today stood in solidarity with those of us in the US who are angry, scared, & mortified: thank you for your grace, your light, & your empathy. Thank you for your support of those of us who aren't in the cult. We see you & are grateful.

One Minnesota.

Pulitzer Feeling Increasingly Out Of Place In Washington Post Office

As a four-decade veteran of the daily journalism business, let me tell you: Every competent political reporter in this country knows that Trump is trying to establish a dictatorship. The industry's shame is that so few journalists will say so, and the ones who do lose their jobs.

Governor JB Pritzker said to Rep. Mary Miller: "I am not going to be lectured to by somebody who extols the virtue of Hitler." Finally, someone says it to their faces.

I just wanna say something really plainly that I haven’t seen spelled out like this There is no such thing as legal immigration anymore. Because they are taking people at their citizenship hearings they are taking people who are doing everything by the book. 1/2

IMPORTANT: Before the fascist attack on Senator Alex Padilla, Kristi Noem said that her gestapo in California were staying to "liberate the city socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country." Don't let that slide by.

I’ll tell you what. If you voted for Trump, and now it’s coming back to bite you, I don’t want to hear about how sad you are. I want to know what you’re gonna do about it. Start there.

Look, it’s simply an incredible string of coincidences that so many Republican officials turn out to be pedophiles.

We stand with federal workers! 👏👏👏 www.axios.com/local/atlant...

Remember when you protest: you're not trying to persuade the Trump regime to stop their actions, they're not open to persuasion. You're trying to persuade the public that the Trump regime is acting unconstitutionally. The public isn't persuaded by violence. Peaceful, joyful protest tactics will win.

Today, CA Senator Alex Padilla exercised his First Amendment right to question DHS Sec. Noem & was viciously manhandled, thrown to the ground, & handcuffed. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. On June 14, Americans must protest the violent, unconstitutional actions of the Trump regime. #nokings

It’s looking more and more like a dictatorship. That’s no way to treat a U.S. Senator. Claiming he was an attacker and failed to identify himself is delusional he’s a sitting senator. America is watching, and the tides are turning.

If randomly kidnapping people (including first grade kids) from places of work, education, worship, and immigration appointments and disappearing them without due process to foreign prisons does not meet your definition of fascism, then your definition of fascism is wrong.

Minnesota was just ranked the 5th best state for child wellbeing — here’s why: ✅ Free school meals ✅ Nation-leading Child Tax Credit ✅ Paid family and medical leave

Candidly, as a civ-mil watcher, this scene at Bragg is freaking me out more than anything else that's happened so far. Just an absolute collapse of professional military norms.

BREAKING: Rep. McIver has been indicted by a federal grand jury for confronting ICE agents during a May oversight visit. She’s accused of “forcibly impeding” federal agents, a charge carrying up to 8 years in prison. McIver says: “I will not be intimidated.” From: @yuniorarivas.bsky.social

So ABC’s official position is that Stephen Miller does not have hate in his heart?

The Constitution guarantees all citizens the right to freedom of speech The right to peaceably assemble The right to petition the government for a redress of grievances I’ll be DAMNED if I let some wannabe dictator take away MY rights See you on Saturday, Trump #NoKings

Democracy is strong and functioning in Minnesota.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

Jake Tapper is not reading the room.

In an act of integrity and resistance, a supervisor in the Nashville federal prosecutor’s office resigned over how the Abrego Garcia case was being handled. The charges are bogus, pure political theater meant to justify a wrongful abduction.

Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio tried to give a press conference to announce his lawsuit against DOJ. Much to my surprise it turned out to be the greatest press conference of all-time.

The Trump administration has lied about the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case every step of the way. That so many outlets are choosing to credulously report out details of the indictment rather than covering this as a dangerous political weaponization of the justice system is deeply pathetic.

It's been such a shitty week that last night I ate salad in front of my plants just to show I can dominate something.

A worker making $50,000 a year contributes to Social Security with 100% of their income. A CEO making $20 million a year contributes to Social Security with less than 1% of their income. Does that sound fair to you?
