Well, he's a dachshund, of course.

The best.

It's possible that FIFA will actually be the *least* corrupt party in this experience. Unreal.

Flight is in 2 hours, so yep!

JFC, this is disgusting.

I simply cannot get over what that thing attacking his head is.

It comes from a mandate from the masses, not some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Have you ever seen this clip with Baker Street on top of it? It's top shelf.

Yeah, preventing children from harming themselves and others seems pretty universal to me, but the exact boundaries of that might differ quite a bit from culture to culture. Maybe a culture would allow a child to touch an open flame because, duh, it's common sense, they'll never do that again!

This goes straight into the top 5 of first BlueSky posts.

Certainly my mom thought so! 😂 But I can look back at that and it still feels like a self-justification, kind of like saying, everyone knows this is true or everyone does it this way because you don't want to really make the case. It's the "ad populum" fallacy.

Common sense seems to usually be shorthand for, "the way I see things."

This is 1000% a joke. He is pointing out the absurdities that are abounding using dark humor.

Or maybe the supplier just produces less supply for the same cost and lays people off fueling a massive global recession. What a fucking dumbass.

It does when you sell it and move, if you're willing to move someplace cheaper. This is why blue states shed millions of people during the post-covid insanity. Refusing to build homes = ceding power to red states.

Well, that's a quick unfollow.

It's "I've never actually shipped anything to production" levels of clueless hubris.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

There needs to be a Rodri-like award for MVMP each year--Most Valuable Missing Player.

That feeling is completely legit. The "vibes" I think of are, "the economy was good under Trump and I got a check with his name on it." I think that resonated with many low info voters. Shiv Ramdas had an incredible post the other day that I think sums up the opportunity: bsky.app/profile/name...

Yeah, I don't know and haven't asked. It's Knoxville, so there's lots of blue people there (shout out the amazing @votegloriaj.bsky.social and all who support her), but also, I think at this point that people who aren't MAGA, but voted for Trump because vibes--those people might soon be in reach.

Doesn't Harvard have like a $10 billion endowment or something equally absurd? They should tell Trump to fuck off.

It's wild, because he has a pretty coherent analysis here. He could actually have been someone intellectually interesting if he didn't have such awful beliefs.

This game was great to watch!

Their chat also became extremely funny when all the Nashvillians woke up and tuned in. Before that it was all the Franklin prayer warriors and it was just obnoxious. My family and I were rolling in our stairway closet shelter as I was reading off all the Minecraft movie jokes. It helped us through!

It was an action-packed game despite the final score line. Hugely entertaining!

We can go lower.

This is deeply painful.

I think if they did a rerelease of it into IMAX like they did with Interstellar, I would go see it again, but also, yeah, that cadence seems totally a-ok. I'm tearing up vicariously, lol.

Yep, I only watch it every 3 or 4 years, usually for a similar reason as you.

That drive-by England comment made me laugh out loud. So unexpected, but so apropos.
