Just trying to stay in touch with the people I know IRL. I'm going to check here every once in a while, until the world settles down. He/They/Whatever makes you comfortable. Would like to rejoin the EU in some form.

If it weren’t for people like my grandad they would have done. I hope he’d be horrified now.

Congratulations! I’ve been driving since I was 19, 37 years now. Driving used to be fun, less so now. Check out the IAM and ROSPA, just in case you want to develop your driving some more later.

Imagine being the kind of person that takes those samples and puts them in a database knowing they could be put to nefarious uses.

To turn a profit from sickness. To base people's entire access to healthcare on this is immoral.

Offering you my condolences for your loss. I don’t use the phrase “put down” bc those words don’t convey the kindness we act with when we make that decision. People “put down” dogs before their time. That’s not you. You’ve loved & honoured Spartacus. Hope the good memories bring you comfort.

It seems ridiculous to criminalise people for growing a plant in their garden or window box. I've been to London and Leeds over the last couple of weeks and smelled it so strongly I thought the government have clearly lost control of it. Furthermore, alcohol creates way more problems.

I heard a word for the first time today. Suspire, to emit a long sigh. I'm guessing there's another word for the inhalation that precedes it when you are struck, once again, by the loss of your beloved companion. It happens to me often. I loved your tribute. Please accept my very sincere condolences.

It's rare to find an actual newspaper these days. It's propaganda now and as someone suggested in the comments they should be accountable for promoting misinformation. Perhaps we should define what a newspaper should do and prevent papers like the Times & Telegraph from claiming to be newspapers.

I thought they were going off to rebuild, not get themselves in a permanent tizzy gainsaying everything the government does. They lack contrition and accountability for 14 years of incompetence, they have no credibility with me.
