Finished 'Doom: The Dark Ages' last night. 1) Heck of a videogame 2) I once again ask...why id Tech isn't used for more things? Game was crazy optimized and had insanely quick load times. Looked great, ran great.

So, my work charges me $100/month to park at work. They also use the same parking lot for both patients and the general public (it's right in the midst of downtown), which means if I try to park mid-day, there are no spots available. So I kind of hate the whole thing.

Bought a fancy new glove for softball. After reading and watching a bunch of things on "how to break a glove in", I decided to ignore all advice and took a laminate wood flooring mallet to it the morning of the first game. 10/10, would highly recommend. Glove is great.

New #HamOnt LRT details are out. Planning began in 2011, the year of my first non-contract job. I've been joking for years that they won't finish it by the time I retire. The new plan now states the LRT is a 'Metrolinx 2041' priority. I can retire in 2039. assets.metrolinx.com/image/upload...

I did a lot of typing this morning, and at some point just became hyper aware of my hands. I know there's proper typing technique, but I'm 37 years in and my "three digits for letters/numbers + dedicated digits for other stuff" hasn't failed me yet.

In my job, I occasionally need to read/audit academic papers. Usually for inclusion as readings in courses. And I often have a hard time reconciling that all the things I was taught not to do in my undergrad (age of citations, filler sentences to bulk up the word count, etc.) are all the norm.
