Labour are making the mistake of allowing the Right to frame the argument that immigration in general is a bad thing, rather than make the case that immigration will help to solve acute problems - massive care worker shortages, for instance.

People might be more patient if it weren’t for the likes of PIP and winter fuel allowance cuts which will have a harsh impact on the poor. If Labour announced big positive changes now eg water privatisation or lowering electricity charges by scrapping marginal pricing, things might be different.

Exactly - and who’s to say he won’t wake up one morning before then and arbitrarily decide they’re all on again? With someone that dangerously unstable in charge, who would dare make any long term US investment decisions?

I agree that everyone should be able to own a property on full time wages. Also that people should be able to rent easily. I’ve moved jobs round the country at different points and wouldn’t have been able to without renting. A healthy property sector would allow for both.

Are you saying that no one should ever be able to rent a property to live in in that case? Because if no one was allowed to own more than one property, then renting would not be an option.

Utter insanity. She was in the government that wasted billions on unusable PPE, enriching wealthy Tory donors in the process. Totally shameless.
