Marry Me by These Immortal Souls. I already knew The Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds, but this remains something unique and special www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKvC...

ha ha yeah, insane is the word. The Blasfemia stuff is alright too - one or two Parabellum members from memory, but not quite as frenetic as Parabellum.

Great to see Parabellum and Root on the list. Esp Zjevení.

Yeah, this is rager for sure. And the video you posted below, that session is really cool too. A pretty rare perspective on a band of this nature at that time.

This is my fave DT record too. Panzerfaust in second, then A Blaze.

This is both my fave Death Metal record as well as the ultimate DM release.

I think it's the BM record that has the harshest sound. It's not necessarily the rawest, or most necro, but it sounds harsh - almost in the way you'd describe Merzbow. The frequencies of the guitars. Definitely a triumph of Norwegian BM. Somewhat novel that they elected to release it as their 3rd

When I think doom, I always go for Epicus by Candlemass. And some of my fave thrash records are Evil Invaders by Razor and None Shall Defy by Infernal Majesty. Plenty of killer bands from Canada in the 80s for sure.

Sabbat are an excellent band. I've been playing the Japanese version of Karisma of late. All their records are magical on their own way.

ha ha yeah, I feel like I've missed out on this somehow. I should rectify it.

Definitely not alone. The first 6 studio albums are definitely all that. And each is unique relative to the next and categorically within the musical sphere. I never gave this one much attention - mostly due to it being a covers album.
