I fucking hate when devs try to abstract classes as far as possible. Instead of like, 2 nested classes with some methods that sometimes go unused, you wind up with this nesting doll of like 20 AbstractXxx services that make following the logic impossible. Some devs are so blind to this x.x

Nah see, if we refactor the entire codebase to use a single utility for determining evenness of a number, that will make updating that logic so much easier if we need to in the future! Think of the time savings!

After a rooftop beer with my manager, I’m now off on my own hitting up a bar I like that always has some cask beers on rotation off Yonge. Its been a great night to skate around :3

I flew in Sunday, and met up with some local friends for some amazing Chinese food. Monday we did an escape room followed by a really good dinner at a North Indian place. Then some of us went to a Karaoke bar XP Today we did some outdoor beers before and after dinner at a super good Japanese place

Imo, they should reduce some of the gas tax, and add a tax based on the weight of your car and how many miles you drive, then add that onto your yearly registration.

Aesthetically, terrible. But functionally…it is a rather clean engine bay? Probably cleaner than either of mine XP

Same! I definitely wanna plan another trip down more focused on car stuff. I’ll reach out for sure if I do!

Overall the trip was great! I actually really enjoyed the road trip, way more than I thought. Finding people to visit, and places to explore while getting to/from FWA really made the journey so much more interesting than just driving 18hrs each way for the con alone.

I’ve heard people getting it removed before checking in

Just don’t pay it. If you push back they won’t charge you. The Marriott is doing the same thing.

On Saturday I was really struggling to control the twitchyness of the throttle, but I didn’t have any issues with that yesterday. I’ll see how I get used to it over time, and experiment with slowly adding back some of the power I removed from the ECU map.

Unfortunately this means I’m definitely going to need a suspension revalve, and maybe change spring rates.
comment in response to post
The suspension went from being incredibly stiff on Saturday at MX23, to by the end of the day yesterday it was waaayyyy too soft, especially in the forks. Every time I would touch the front brake the bike wants to dive forward really hard, which really fucks with front wheel grip in turns.

This lack of knee grip makes it really easy to get thrown out of position, and then you have to rely on arm strength to get back in the right spot. I always ran a gripper seat cover on the old bike, so I’m gonna have to do that here too.

Now that I have some break-in hours on the bike, there are definitely some observations: The sides of the seat don’t extend down the bike much, and the material is pretty slick. That combined with the contour of the plastics on the side make it very difficult to grip with your knees.
