Yeah face down on a very clean smooth plate. Cleaning the plate is absolutely essential for the text to come out well, the lettering will lift if there is skin oil on the plate.

Oh man, been on this ride many times. Enjoy this honeymoon phase, the downsides of the developers as customers will become very real soon enough.

Ah good, I’ve just realized I’ve definitely used that term without thinking about it in the past 12 months.

Something about this photo makes me think if we ever get a photo of Jensen swimming, he will still be wearing a leather jacket.

I’m not saying she is right or wrong here, just that she is not a trustworthy source in general.

Just a general heads up, Sabine has been very quickly devolving into an anti-science channel in general. It’s pretty clear at this point she is presenting the most negative and sensationalist views she can in order to garner views as those tend to be her best performing videos.

Let’s stamp each gold bar with an ID number and register them on the blockchain so you can trade and sell a token which represents that number (but does not grant ownership over the gold bar with the same number).

Sorry my mistake just redid the math. 8 and 10 make 810!!! We really should alert them to this error.

The arc of every TS project is to add all this lovely cleverness in the name of awesome DX, and then to slowly remove it all at the alter of IDE performance.

As for the wealthy not paying social security taxes on capital gains, I suspect you know what I’m going to suggest.

Benefits should remain capped, this isn’t about making sure the rich stay rich. It’s about making sure the elderly stay off the streets.

China is not yet well equipped to displace the US as a security guarantor for the majority of the western world. Still, I am curious if they realize that Trump has flung the door wide open for them to step up and do just that in the coming decade.

I wasn't wrong about it hurting people, it does. I was wrong that people would care enough to fix it.

I've had to admit recently that I was wrong about Crypto. I've insisted for years that it was going to implode, that there is no way we would allow this to continue. Eventually we would realize this hellscape of currencies Candy Crush could only dream of is hurting people and fix it. I was wrong.

It's absolutely amazing. Honestly it feels like reason has lost and scammers have completely taken over. Trump coin, Melania coin, the fucking Tates, silk road murder bro... We live in a two-tier system. If 90% of did this shit, we'd rot in prison, but somehow some of us are just... exempt?

It’s mostly wait staff in higher end restaurants but it’s a thing. As for the guilt fest thing, I can’t wait for that to end. I’m so tired of being asked for tips constantly.

Ironically servers fight this. Servers should be paid a living wage but have a reasonable fear that if their wages go up and tipping goes away their net income will go down. For many this will likely be true.
