I don't understand how the pro wrestling gimmick of "I'm just a really pretty man" is still a thing.

Not a #retrogame, but it's a damn good homage you should be playing. Bloodstained - Curse of the Moon (2018) Igarashi left Konami after making some of the best Castlevania games ever to start his own studio, and they came up with a clever mix of classic Castlevania feel with more modern mechanics.

More #retrogames you should be playing. Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (SNES, 1991) I had so many questions in the 90s. Questions like "If this is part 3, where are the first two?" And "How do you pronounce 'Ys'?" But this charming ARPG had a killer soundtrack and sick label art, so all is well.

More #retrogames you should play. The Battle of Olympus (NES, 1988) A Zelda II-style side scrolling action game set in ancient Greece. Guide Orpheus through the worst horrors of Greek mythos to save his girlfriend Helene, who has been kidnapped by Hades.

There have been enough movies made based on books, TV shows, video games, and true stories. It's high time we look into the vast untapped market of movies based on commercials.

#promosky My Likes: 🔹A pair of socks that only have one hole each 🔹Classical British authors who go into absurd detail about the kinds of food served at feasts 🔹Contemporary American authors who skimp on such details 🔹The feel of the earth spinning at just the right speed Who wants to be friends?

Riviera - The Promised Land (2004) Released near the end of the GameBoy Advance lifespan, this gem included elements not normally on handheld consoles at the time, such as romance options and a much larger than average number of voiceover recordings (though the PSP version was fully voiced).

Dear Bluesky, I've muted several topics of conversation. I've muted several people I like professionally due to their personal posts relating to those topics. I've hit the like button on stuff I'd rather see. None of it is working. Can you make a "mute all politics, I'm not interested" button?

I'm about 3/4 finished with my annual reread of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The part where Bob Cratchit raises a Christmas toast to Scrooge shook me in a way it never has before. Anyone with Scrooge's wealth and power today would feel vindicated, and think the spirits and Marley had it all wrong.

Things I like: 🔹That feeling when you shake the heck out of your hand because it fell asleep and it starts waking up again 🔹A really nice sandwich 🔹Drinks that contain a mix of tea and lemonade named for famous golfers 🔹A day where I don't step in anything gross Who wants to be friends?

Brain Lord (SNES, 1994) A sentimental favorite of mine. I recommend this every chance I get. If you're into ARPGs, you owe it to yourself to try out this truly underrated classic.

Me: I'm sick of politics. I'm just gonna start liking funny comics, memes, and people posting lists. Bluesky: Yes, I see. Bluesky: Here are those 35,000 politically-charged posts you wanted.
