This isn’t a comment on Will by the way. I’ve no idea where he falls. I’m just speaking from personal experience, of which I have plenty.

Some journalists and pundits are conflicted. Some want to speak out but stay silent to remain employed. Some speak out and get canned. And then some don’t care at all - they’ll happily push any narrative and turn as many blind eyes as necessary to further their own careers.

He cares SO much about what's said about him and has such a strong desire for media narratives and hype, that instead of waiting for it to happen naturally, he starts all the conversations himself. It's so lame.

Ugh. Didn’t realise the DM was here. *blocked*

By all means play the game this way, Max. But have a bit of class and dignity when your methods don’t come off. Despite what your Dad, Team Principal and other sycophantic coddlers believe, the rules should also apply to you too.

Is he right? Don’t care. I fully support his right to silence.

And Alonso only really needed to get up to pace relative to Lance… much easier than unlearning a career of habit and instinct in an effort to be at the same level as Leclerc who is driving at peak instinct.

Lewis has a sprint pole and win, so he’s still capable and good things possible. The team simply has a problem to solve. Currently Lewis isn’t getting the most out of the car and Ferrari isn’t getting the most out of Lewis. They’ll get there.

I think this was more about just doing the bare minimum to classify the race so they didn't have to give anyone refunds. Ultimately, as absurd as it was, it was all within the rules... unlike Masi's illegal Red Bull capitulation in the final race, of course.

For moments like this. 🄲

Personally, I just think he’s adjusting and getting up to speed. His speed is still there - we see it all the time. But when the time comes that I do believe he’s actually suffering age-related performance decline, I hope I accept it and take it with grace.

Even if he is ā€œwashedā€, I don’t get what people get out of criticising him for it. I think we all imagine watching Lewis decline and imagine we’d be nicer about it. But those who currently think they’re seeing it happen, are choosing to be super harsh and petulant.
