Wow, everyone is so cheerful tonight. Too bad, cause the weather is pretty nice in most of the country right now.

Oh right cause we all would love to see President Bondi or President Noem in the oval office. Maybe it just a certain type of people that are too emotional to be leaders.

This is actually pretty embarrassing.

You just can't make this shit up. Wild times.

I mean. Let's be honest. Many said that after Jan 6th. And yet, here we are. I'll believe when I see it.

This is a bridge too far even for The Onion. Just kidding, I still love yall.

It was an awful event. But what was the cause of this incident. Those guns didn't start shooting on their own. We should look at the root cause instead of the tools. As a Va resident. I won't vote for anyone advocating for gun control while we have a fascist in office.

I have an extra set of bootstraps if he needs to borrow mine.

Is God trying to destroy America. If so, then maybe DJ Taco is on to something.

I'm sure the DHS is watching this thread. SO. Let me ask you. What are you going to do when Trump is out. Sooner or later Dems will regain control of the gov. Then what? P.S. "I was just following orders" is not a valid defense.

Aww that's too bad. I was really rooting for them. Just in case I need to clarify. {Sarcasm}.

Congratulations, You played yourself.

My money says you are absolutely right. And that's the part the gets me the most. But it's good to know the US is the only country with this issue.

It's the old cliche. They sent a loser because they weren't actually trying to win.
comment in response to post
That's a bold move. If they get it right, they will be the heroes that stood up to the tyrant. If they get it wrong. They will be forever be known as losers. Which would actually be a bad thing.

To be fair. Have you ever met a West Point grad. Sounds right up their alley.

Comparing ICE to Gestapo is bad. Comparing FEMA to the Gestapo is good. MAGA always has the most creative shit to say.

Wow. I didn't know this is what winning looks like.

I would have never guessed.

Well, I guess time will tell. Personally, I wouldn't bet against nature. Especially not when nature is imbalanced.

Apparently not.

Because Walmart bent the knee when they should have held the line. They made their bed now they can lie in it.
comment in response to post
It is. But that applies to all of Congress. Right now Dems are the only ones willing to even talk about. They need the support of the rest of Congress and SCOTUS. Which they don't have and as we know, they are the minority. It's pointless to try right now.
comment in response to post
One step at a time. Maybe I will maybe I won't. But that's not going to stop me from trying.

i'm all for rocking the boat. When there is something to gain. Rocking the boat when the boat is already sinking doesn't help keep the boat afloat. Now is the time to start bailing water, not rocking the boat.

I guess you forgot about the Dixie-Crats and decades of supporting Jim Crow laws. The Dems didn't care for FDR. They only got onboard with the program because they (for once) knew it was the correct path.
comment in response to post
It called transparency. And I couldn't give two shits about my credibility on the internet. But the fact remains. The Constitution does not state Congress has to impeach, but that they could if they so choose.
comment in response to post
I think you have it completely backwards. Dems were (not long ago) very conservative. The conservatives went to the GOP and left a vacuum. Centrists and Liberals filled that vacuum. They didn't need to hijack it, because it was given to them. The DNC has never been truly progressive.
comment in response to post
I never said it would be easy. But the law does allow it.
comment in response to post
Don't get me wrong. Impeachment needs to happen. I just don't think the Dems are in any position to even attempt it. At this time. They need to secure the votes before moving forward. Which they aren't even close. Doing right now would be foolish.
comment in response to post
According to Google AI, and everything I was able to find. No, Congress does not have to impeach someone. The power of impeachment is a constitutional tool, and Congress has the discretion to use it or not...
comment in response to post
I see a lot of people bagging on the DNC. But what is stopping y'all from forming your own party. Instead of forcing a community to change to your needs, how about creating a community where you fit in.
comment in response to post
I wouldn't say his popularity suffered. The mainstream media said that. Which turned out to be a lie. The reality is, he became even more popular after that. It is what it is. Trying to impeach him right now while the Dems are up against the ropes isn't a winning move. But why not, YOLO.
comment in response to post
Trump walked out of two impeachments completely untouched. That made him look stronger and us weaker. I fail to see how a third attempt would be any different. At least at this time. Dems are in no position to make this power play.
comment in response to post
Thank you. I have only been able to find 2 other people in this comment thread that agrees with us.
comment in response to post
It's pointless until we get the votes to actually remove Trump from office. Which we aren't even close. Even if all Dems held the line there still wouldn't be enough votes.
comment in response to post
Dems trying to impeach is pointless at this time. Let's get the House and Senate back first. Let's not put the "cart before the horse".

I'm sure Hogg has good intentions. I just don't think now is a good time to implement his ideas. We do need to clean house but again, now isn't the time for that.
comment in response to post
I see two issues with Hogg's platform. Removing the Old Guard; good idea. Getting it done; good luck. But the big problem is his gun control stance. That's a classic losing battle. And at a time like this, gun control is the last thing we want right now.
