Agree with your opinion on the hat. I doubt Canada and the US will ever be close friends again. The trust is gone.

I'm with you totally on the forest walking. Even just driving through Riding Mountain Park yesterday (it was pouring rain, thank the gods) soothed my soul.

Hoekstra is a slimy bastard who thinks he is smarter than Canadians. Pride goeth before a fall, as they say.

He should stay in his own backyard. We don't need any more plagues here.

I didn't think she was even that old yet. Malia is frozen in my mind at around age 17.

PP is the guy we all felt sorry for because he tried so very hard but never seemed to understand social behaviours. Then we found out he looked down on us.

A Northerner no more, eh? When did you move? lol

The issue may be a little deeper than that. If you somehow manage to tariff admissions (i.e. tickets sold) to films made in foreign countries, you can perpetuate and grow that US isolationism bubble which is a major goal of this administration.

I have never understood why the Cons chose this man to "lead" them in the first place. He is a milquetoast quisling cleverly disguised as an incompetent "regular guy".

Hell, I've already voted and he still hasn't got it out. *shock and consternation*!!! (not)

The one thing that really threw me about this scene was his white, perfect teeth. The man was supposedly living a radical life in the desert with a radical group of political "zealots". One must have been a dentist, I guess.

I used to watch Bill MaherpleaseDonnie, but quit as soon as heade his little journey to Mal (which is a small pun in French) to kiss the mushroom. I admit to only watching sporadically in the past few years, but now not at all. He is no longer funny, or even mildly amusing.

Lol... I've done that test twice (stroke). None of those items is on the test. He was naming whatever he saw around him in the room at the time the question was asked.

He's giggling with his oligarch buddies while together they break everyone else in two with insider trading. Such fun! Such greed. Such evil.

Something like, "And in the final days, there will be those who come to me and say, "Lord, Lord." and I will reply, "I do not know you." and "The tree shall be known by the fruit it bears."

"seems" to be no empathy? No. There is no empathy; there is only greed and unbridled self-interest.

I know someone who is going to vote for him who also spends his time complaining about how CPP and OAS are too low. The cognitive dissonance is confounding.

Hmmmm... it's less "out there" than some of the other babblings he has posted in the past which turned out to be true. Eminently believable, frankly.

According to about 5 minutes of research, all people residing in the US must pay taxes. This includes green card holders who have to bring completed tax returns with them to apply for naturalization. (I would add a link if I knew how. Just Google it.

I have two American friends in separate states who, with their spouses, are doing their best behind the scenes to oppose. Both are in their 70s and have chronic illnesses. I do my best to keep them informed as it seems the US can lack for unbiased news these days.

In addition, University of Toronto is an excellent platform to fight from. It will give him a huge audience.

I think he's being realistic. An interracial marriage, two young black sons and his particular expertise is on Nazis. He can fight better from a distance I would think.

No! We in Canada are happy the way we are! We could send you some maple magas. You can keep them.

Whatever you do, do not cave in to Drumpf. His behaviour is typical of any abusive personality and cannot be tolerated in any way, shape or form. Never back down; never concede. He lies.

Less expensive flights within Canada would be lovely, although a lot of the service would have to be moved to smaller airports to accommodate numbers.

There are areas where the Liberals may not run a candidate or get many votes if they do. In that case, NDP may be the only available answer. Rural MB, for instance, votes robotically Conservative without thinking for the most part. NDP might stand a chance due to our Premier.
