I got respect for elderly people, professionals of many fields, but I have a special kind of respect for people who been consistently playing a game for 10+ years. It doesn't matter if the game is hype, if it's popular, if it has monetary rewards: they just play, and I deeply respect those people.

Last night I had the opportunity to visit the newest card shop in my city. They say they're still organizing things, and not ready for a full opening, but from what I see they look way better organized than other shops that are operating for a year or longer. That's a surprising start!

"More than a third of available jobs at game companies globally are in Asia" "China is today the No.1 video game market, generating $50 billion from games this year" I'd assume it's wise for people on the field to learn chinese, korean and japanese. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

I often get surprised by the vocal range of some japanese voice actors. The same guy who voices Iori Yagami (King of Fighters) also does Mickey Mouse, like, wtf hahah

Blue Prince, Oblivion, Expedition 33. I'm happy to see people are enjoying some games unlike the usual "the industry is dying, everything is bad" hahah Ah, I should add Balatro to that list.

Marathon staff had a Discord call with some journalists about 2 days ago in order to answer some of the most common concerns about the upcoming game. For context, many journos didn't receive a key to join the closed alpha test from days ago.

Marathon's and Borderlands 4's release dates won't conflict anymore, hey! However, after some Alpha build impressions, it seems there is a long way to go before launch, so I still doubt it'll release at the previously announced date (Marathon).

About 15 years ago we had a boom of indie games and most were "SNES visuals". Now I've seen some indie darlings going for "PS1 visuals", which actually are a bit tricky to emulate on our current graphic technology, so kudos for these people. I'm not sure on what comes next for "indie visuals".

Recently Nintendo has announced Switch 2 prices for Brazil. Mario Kart World will cost US$88, which is a 10% increase, this is fair and expected. The console itself will be costing around US$789, which is around 55% increase from original price. Now, now. This is also expected, but not ideal.

First week of "Pro Quest: Singapore" has ended, and now Zen and Enigma are out of rotation for Classic Constructed! I did expect Enigma to LL, especially after last week's Pablo's victory. But Zen has been quite unpopular as of late. So it was a surprise to me, even though he was so close to LL.

"Elmo, Big Bird and friends face an uphill battle amid budget cuts" That's certainly an unexpected headline Some people complain that we're currently living in a South Park episode, but I'm under this impression for about 10 years already. I don't find it bad, it's quite amusing actually.

And now you need to consider this even more, since all of them got a ~$5 price increase. Note that some Switch 1 accessories work on Switch 2 games, such as the Pro Controller.

I've read and watch more things on this topic, and I've seen a lot of concerns about the characters' design, and that at least one guy from Concord is working on this. I believe people are still shocked since the Concord situation is still too fresh.

I might be late on this, but I just realized how top performers are also teachers in their games, and I believe this is more important than I gave it credit until this point. I see a pattern of having a channel, Patreon, or server, to help new players, answer questions about rules and game, etc.
