I've never had a card shop of my own, but I recon that planning, discipline and experience are needed for a good start. Most shops I know I feel were created out of passion, and that's great, but they should be concerned about branding, location and other things to attract new customers too.

I agree with you that it doesn't seem to be as dramatic as people feel, and I also understand how scared people can be because other TCGs' release schedule (such as YGO). I just think they could move one of the November set to December, since Uma is mini set. And one of the January's to February.

Well, if it's a guy on their 30s saying this, I'll be shocked, for sure hahah It changes completely how I'm approaching this.

I'm not saying the kid is correct, but I'm pointing that the kid doesn't know what is saying, exactly because it's very likely that the kid doesn't have these experiences yet. We don't have third places anymore, kids grow up different than us nowadays. So, let's be kinder with this one.

College is good time for this! I had some relationships in my teenager days, and I thought it was like "only one, I won't live without this person", but as we grow up, these emotions settle down a bit, we mature, and then we meet someone for real (which might be around college or after college)

We start with her leaving the prison. I was thinking if she was previously led to take the fall for him, in an off-camera mission that we might hear about through flashbacks. I'm guessing one of them will die before the end, likely by actions of the other.

I'm under impression that the major audience of GTA are on their early days (teenagers, or under 25). If this impression is correct, it'd make sense for them to find it cringe, since they themselves didn't have any solid experience on this topic. And I don't say this to invalidate them, it's fine.

I'd expect it to come back with full staff sometime later (Game Informer), but I really don't remember when it was the last time I watched or read anything from Polygon, also Kotaku. I do like when gaming sites go beyond gaming, but these two have rarely had any game article lately.

I'll save mine (and yours) disappointment and I'll follow this game progress through the side lines. I have no expectation about launch, or even if the game will survive one or two years. I do like Bungie, Destiny, but with past layoffs it seems most of the star talent is gone, sadly.

Going by their lingo, priorities and fears, I assume this team is not just compose of new talent, but also led by it. Their concerns and fears sound as someone underperforming at games who got yelled at comms and felt couldn't keep up with some game. It definitively doesn't inspire confidence.

Also, the playable alpha build is 2~3 months behind the current development build, so that product isn't really ready for launch. Which makes me doubt even more that they'll make it ready before the release day. Sigh.

On "player market", they don't want to add this to the game (even though it's a key-feature of Tarkov), the reason being they're concerned about how new players can be left behind (???). On volume of steps, different steps between bots and humans, silencer for guns, they'll work on all this.

On proximity chat, they previously said the game wouldn't have it, but they now explain they plan on implementing it in the future, they just can't do it in time for September. They justified the reason they didn't consider it before was fear of online toxicity. And they're still afraid of it.

It's upsetting Warner is taking all the blame for now, 'cause I believe other DVD, from other studios, will find themselves in the same situation in upcoming years. It is what it is. Maybe, back then, we didn't expect to be attached to these discs for this much long.

Let's be honest here: nothing that they may show us will really be any surprise. Now, if they have Dr. Eggman as a guest character, I'll correct my misassumption!

Não se preocupe! O "preço de lançamento" e "preço sugerido" costuma ser o teto do valor, sempre tem lojas vendendo mais barato que isso depois. No caso da camera da HORI, por ser 480p, imagino que o preço vai reduzir bastante. 👍✨

If a regular customer imports the console directly from Trump land, taking in consideration the recent tariffs, the console would cost around US$500~550. Buying from "official local retailers", US$789. I expect "irregular vendors" to sell it for US$500~600. And I use Brazil PS5's prices as basis.

The disclaimer about their availability/platforms explains the difference. Still, it shouldn't be a big surprise for Madame Web to perform well at home, it's similar to Moana 2's situation: not many people went to theaters, but when they can watch "for free", at home, why not?

Now that's a very specific achievement hahah (it's just the wording that is funny) [ in this country, for this month, in this category ]

I've been running Nuu and I may continue until she LL, which might be around Nationals season (July). Meanwhile, I've been slowly building a Verdance on the side, and I might hop to her when Nuu LL. I'm keeping my eye on Ira (and Cindra), since she'll be getting an Armory Deck around that time.

As for Flesh & Blood, I understand the shock of older players seeing Nuu first time, but MST is the set that introduced me to FaB. The smooth and calming style of that set speaks to me. Nuu is one of my favorite heroes, I like her art design and theme, and I wasn't disappointed by her playstyle.

"Profile art" works as a channel to introduce a character's traits without a long and detailed lore drop. It's a must for fighting games, MOBA, hero shooters and other genres where we pick the character and start playing right away. It's almost as their "business card" in a sense.

Is that, by any chance, a Clodsire plushie? If so, that's quite neat!

Volume 25! This kid is about to start one of the most under-rated One Piece arcs! Back when this was fresh, most people didn't pay attention or give it due value. Now, so many years later, we're learning that many things first presented at this point in the story are really important and relevant.

It's a popular trend, and so is survivalism. I now wonder if, in the context of TCGs, you could bait people from these trends to give a TCG video a shot.

A very innocent and totally not related image choice, I see hahah

In short: - Unremarkable character design; - It's too late to be on Alpha build; - Release date conflicts with Borderlands, again; - Price might keep people away from testing it; Word of mouth hasn't been good on Marathon, but they can save it if they have a good open beta.

I believe Bungie offers great experiences and set standards on gunplay because their legacy with Halo and even Destiny. For that reason, I don't think Bungie experiences should be free. Still, in current market, PvP games are usually free. These games need a player pool. So $40 might be a downer.

Unlike 2019, Borderlands 3 was "the return of a beloved franchise" and Borderlands 4 is "more of a fatigued franchise". Destiny and Borderlands drink from the same well as "loot shooters", but Marathon aim to offer a different experience. So maybe this won't impact much. Maybe.
comment in response to post
Also, hey, the release date itself. At the current moment, Bungie's Marathon is scheduled to release on September 23. This is the same day as Borderlands 4. This happened back in 2019, when Shadowkeep (Destiny 2 expansion) was delayed two weeks, likely to avoid Borderlands 3 release.

This sounds silly, and might as well be conjecture, but why would they be dealing with a prototype (alpha) when the game is so close to release day? At this point, they should be dealing with shipment and thinking about Day One patch, Season Pass, etc. It sounds too late to be talking alpha build.
comment in response to post
A second concern is: they're talking about "alpha test" when we're, supposedly, 5 months prior to release? What is this nonsense? hahah Alpha build is usually internal and very buggy, almost prototype. Early in development. Beta build, which they also plan to do, is the "playable" one.

Similarly to Switch price from days ago, I have other concerns and angles on this topic. Starting from the characters, I wouldn't say they're ugly, but they're certainly unremarkable. It seems like they're making an extra effort to not assign gender to those and they look "whatever" in the end.

I'm not sure if this works for everyone, but I'd kindly advice people who love a game to try teaching some other people and see if this makes any difference for their own performance. Having a weaker/newer practice partner is also valid, since helps one to think out of the box (meta).

Before, I thought "content" was a path to monetize these hobbies (competitive gaming/TCG) and make travels possible. So I remembered that I myself got better at games I played about same time I was making guides for them. And I did out of passion, I didn't calculate the benefit in performance.
