The right-wing is just one long grift. It doesn't matter if the content is any good or not as long as it's ideologically "correct." I don't believe liberals are any smarter than conservatives; but there are obviously many more conservative billionaires willing to subsidize crappy right-wing content

Yeah, but TFNYT isn't using it as a cheeky in-group term. They're using to scare people about Mamdani: SCARY LEFT-WING MAN IS SCARY. We're in a new McCarthyism era.

I mean, I also used to watch "The Dukes of Hazzard" every week, but I was 7. I was old enough to know better when I was reading Andrew Sullivan

It's also just stunningly bad. Reading it feels like being trapped in a crowded subway car next to someone who's yelling at you the whole time. If it had to compete on its own merits it would have gone under in 1982.

We all make mistakes. (I had a big one today; I lost the notes from a meeting with a co-worker and had to go to her and apologize.) Our goal should be to learn from our mistakes. The fail-sons of the Trump administration have never been told they've made mistakes, so they've never learned anything.

It's an administration comprised of fail-sons, idle twits, and people who had one fluky good idea that they sold for $100 million years ago, and they've been coasting ever since. We've turned the most powerful country in the world over to dozens of Bertie Woosters.

Elon is another person who would have benefited from being told "You're a fucking moron." Instead, he's mostly bought his way out of trouble because everyone is afraid to challenge him. Needless to say, there's another prominent person who also has always been able to buy his way out of trouble ...

It's not fun to have someone tell you, "You're a fucking moron." But most of us, in our careers, have had it happen. OTOH, if no one ever challenges you because you're rich, you can just make mistake after mistake without consequences until, like Wile E. Coyote, you eventually run off a cliff.

Many people share your [expletive deleted] frustration, Mr. President. At least he didn't wear a tan suit, sir.

If they ever switch the channel to MeTV, he'll deport Lisa Douglas and send the National Guard to Hooterville

Update ... "The Washington Ghost" appears to be the work of someone or someones calling themselves "Konn Artiss." The domain is registered behind a proxy. So far, @geneweingarten.bsky.social is the only one to report on this. I guess no one else wants to offend Bezos. konnartiss.com
