They wisely kept some powder dry, knowing Hegseth would lie.

If their depiction of Goldberg is accurate, doesn’t that make them look even worse?

Largely a fig leaf to cover for their misogyny. I doubt his supporters will have any problem with military escalations all over the place. Just look at his choice for Secretary of Defense.

The text-to-speech feature in Substack pronounces Zelenskyy’s name as Zealand’s Chi. 😂

A familiar story.

Ideally yeah, and that’s what happened during Trump’s first term, but now he’s replacing people with MAGA yes men.

He’s a former US Navy intelligence officer who has been right about a lot, publishing a book prior to the 2016 election highlighting the connection between Trump and the Kremlin.

See Malcolm Nance’s recent Substack. He believes it’s a legit possibility that Trump could invade Canada, first looking to economically and politically destabilize it, using social media to create divisions and fostering ties with right wing Canadians, a la Putin. open.substack.com/pub/malcolmn...

Given they’ve remained steadfast through all the horror we’ve already seen, I wonder what would actually be a dealbreaker.

Democrats should be running ads right now that expose this. But they won’t, they’ll wait until a couple months out from Election Day when it’s too little too late. Republicans understand the power of repetition and campaign 365 days a year.

Can we even trust the unemployment numbers from the Labor Department under Trump?

Doesn’t say.

Can’t wait to see how Trump will insert himself into the Olympics, assuming he’s still around.

I don’t think it was fake either. Although given that it’s Trump, it had to be an initial consideration. Not only did 2 people die, but no way coward Trump is going to trust some 20-year-old kid from 400 feet away to just barely miss him. Just the very slightest infinitesimal graze could draw blood.

Over the past nearly 50 years, half of the presidents elected by the party that ridicules Hollywood and celebrities have been actors.

Hence all the compensatory hyper-masculine rhetoric and talk of “alphas.”

DC needs to run a shadow Kennedy Center in a district-managed park. Hold performances there. @mayorbowser.bsky.social

Regarding a possible coming recession, I wouldn’t put it past Trump to have the Commerce Department release phony numbers.
