The rule in Boston seems to be that drivers will go through a light if they saw it at any time when it was green, regardless of where they are when it turns red.

Damn the AI really have broken containment, writing AND publishing their own content.
(The funniest outcome will be if this reveals that they have some AI automated editorial process as well that approved the fake AI syndicated content.)

My kid’s had a very routine schedule the last couple weeks- eat dinner, do homework, turn on playoffs. Going to be very confused tonight.

Those aren’t canoes (which are a few thousand $$ at most), they’re racing shells that cost tens of thousands of dollars each.

From this inflection point we can extrapolate HBO Now in 2030, HBO Go in 2037, and some time thereafter no HBO streaming service.

When I wanted to make my brother mad, did I pick up the phone and screech into it like the sound of a modem? It’s possible.

The government literally presented zero evidence when asked if she was a danger or flight risk! None! There have been regimes that imprison people based on no evidence, trying to think of a word some of them had in common…

You just know they have too much of the white reagents because they come in the same package size as the black but the white only get used once per election cycle. Now they gotta call EHS to dispose of the excess.

Not just University but affiliate Institutes and hospitals. Does this apply to Broad, Ragon, Wyss, Children’s, BWH, BIDMC, DFCI? Nobody knows because I’m sure the administration didn’t think about it for even a second!

I’d just go with, “Thank you for your concerns, we are confident that Harvard will outlive the Trump administration.”

True, does seem like something that should get attention even if not formally endorsed by Harvard or a student org.

Is this actually a Harvard sponsored event or are they just renting out the meeting room? Despite what it sounds like, the Faculty Club is kind of just a restaurant where members can rent rooms. You do need a Harvard affiliation to be a member (alumni, parent of student, faculty/staff, local biz)

Huh, that’s unfortunate. Every manufacturer likely follows SBS which specifies overall plate size so it’s compatible with instrument nests, and well to well center spacing, but may vary on the A1 x and y offsets from edge.
Since they have a plate mold they have the spec sheet somewhere…
comment in response to
post
Most plates are SBS standard and have technical drawings online, like this, exactly for entering dimensions into various dispenser and reader software.

Well that’s cool, so I guess the obvious questions are whether the two isomers are equally active (presumably not if they’re drawing a specific one) and how they set the stereochemistry or purify one configuration. Also does it equilibrate if heated too much? Fun handling and storage consideration!

Is the pyridine ring on the left an atropisomer, unable to rotate due to, I guess, sterics of the ortho substitution and the proximal groups on the indole?

My membership is old enough to drink (since 2004) and I still see many of the same employees, including the free sample contractors. One of them still recognizes my teenage kids from when they used to ride in the cart.

Do you ever use the filter paper + dialysis band capture method, instead of cutting out bands? That’s what I learned in grad school although I haven’t done it in over 20 years.
