Not the hero of the story, not a main character, just that guy in a Roland Emmerich film who looks up.

the actual story here is that the president of the united states is a pathological liar and unhinged narcissist who regularly invents world-shaking claims and takes credit for things that didn't happen, BUT THE NEWS MEDIA CANNOT SAY THAT, so instead the story becomes "is there a war? who knows!"

I think the non-Thomas/Alito Republicans are terrified that Trump will openly defy the Court. (Thomas and Alito are hoping he will.) So they're trying to postpone the day of reckoning as long as possible. In the meantime, if there's any fig leaf to stay/deny a stay/whatever, they'll grab it. 2/

It does not escape me that this has come up with exactly two candidates: H Clinton and Harris. I had men tell me that both were going to get us into multiple wars. And I think it has to do with “women are irrational because of hormones” but they won’t just say that

It is still important that we displace the carbon atoms in our materials that come from oil, because those atoms contribute to the financial health of extracting and burning oil.
We already have more than enough carbon atoms in the bio supply chain to completely displace petrochemicals.

Dems got us the Iran nuclear deal, and Trump is bombing Iran.
Somehow, folks were convinced this is the same.

the reason he play-acts at being a tech CEO and a reporter despite having no meaningful experience at either is that he wants to dress up in his father's suit and be told that he's earned everything he was given.
and if anyone ever contradicts him on that point, he wants to blow their brains out.

“One study put that payback time at seven months — not bad considering the typical 20- to 25-year lifespan of a wind turbine.” Paramount this took 1 minute to find, please forward my showrunner fee. yaleclimateconnections.org/2021/06/what...

They’re so used to being able to buy a better life than the rest of us, they assume they’ll always be able to buy a better life than us.
