We’re not going to beat Trump “with hashtags and headlines stunts. We need delivery over dogma,” Jessica Ramos says endorsing Andrew Cuomo. She’s making very clear that this endorsement is about making sure Zohran Mamdani doesn’t win.

And most of it is from former Long Island Congressional candidate Nancy Goroff:

Lander brings up Council Member Vickie Paladino’s tweet “appallingly and dangerously calling for Assemblymember Mamdani to be deported.” Calls it “sickening, Donald Trump-aligned dangerous politics.” Says she should “take it down” and calls on Cuomo to make the same call.

“This month and every month, we remember the first brick thrown by Marsha P. Johnson in 1969,” Lander says “and we acknowledge the many bricks that have been thrown since by Harvey Milk… by Sarah McBride.”

Lander is also releasing an LGBTQ campaign platform, saying he’d staff up the city’s Human Rights Commission. He says when he got married in 1996, he and his wife Meg wrote in their wedding packet that attendees should call on Clinton to veto the Defense of Marriage Act.

haha Park Slope Sea Food doesn't exist in Manhattan, but four story walk-ups with ground floor retail certainly do!

Jumaane Williams, elected citywide as a progressive, for the more common understanding of the term. And Hakeem Jeffries calls himself a progressive too! But more of like "we're the real progressives, not the socialists," kind of way.

Meanwhile, a new super PAC has been formed to target Mamdani, but it hasn’t raised any money yet. That and more mayoral race I.E. insights in Playbook: www.politico.com/newsletters/...

This is Adrienne Adams. You may be thinking about Eric Adams (no relation).

Say something nice about each other <3 Lander: Myrie’s work against deed theft, Mamdani on taxi driver debt and Adams on City of Yes. Mamdani: Lander on school integration, Myrie on the Clean Slate Act and Adams on City of Yes and her singing.

"We're talking about a guy that was on everyone's television for over an hour every single day during one of the most traumatic periods in our country and our world's history," Zellnor Myrie says re: Cuomo. "So we have a challenge in front of us to remind voters of who he was..."

I don't know specifically for Lander, but the campaign didn't have much further to go - he's very likely to max out with the next payment May 30. Adams' campaign declined to say how much she raised or how close she was last week... which felt like a bad sign.

“Up up with tenant power, down down with real estate!” Mayoral endorsees @bradlander.bsky.social and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social were at Tenant Bloc’s big Freeze the Rent rally at Riverside Church.

Andrew Cuomo has kind of a complicated history with big real estate, but there’s no doubt that rents rose a lot during his decade as governor. And his opponents — led by Zellnor Myrie — have relentlessly attacked him for it. More: www.politico.com/news/2025/05...
