This is absolutely disgusting on so many levels. Consent to research is absolutely basic. I hope these researchers are appropriately disciplined to say the least. They must have known better and, like meta, decided that ethics was just inconvenient.

I love leguin but not everything she ever wrote, and not all the time. She didn't write perfect books because no one does! And some of her least interesting (imo) are other people's favorites. I kind of liked malafrena, but didn't ever finish always coming home (which lots of people love)
