And… energy costs are at least because of net zero (which isn’t really net zero because whilst our emissions are lower we have merely off-shored those to China And you can’t (in the short term) make virgin steel with electricity / hydrogen.

Nash - very sensible - thank you. China competes with British Steel. In the UK. How? It’s cheaper to make (labour cost lower) uses fossil fuels and Regardless of the 6k miles it’s still cheaper. We can’t re-shore industry without lower energy costs / some protection policy / procurement alignment.
