Most of the problems (except for lying on it like a regular couch) is solved by not buying a $500 Leon's special. Sit on a bunch, see how you like how they recline. They're also heavier than regular couches. My wife loves her fancy la-z-boy chair (more decorative than plush).

Most I've sat on are shit, bad mechanisms, inadequate padding. Not comfortable to lie down on like regular couch, quite often have shitty gaps where it's easy to drop stuff so it falls under the couch. But every time I've been to la-z-boy I've thought about buying one of theirs.

Router is how you say the name of the tool that cuts fancy holes and grooves and shit in wood. Router is how you say the name of the thing that distributes the horrors to devices.

I like banana bread with and without chocolate chips, but I too would be rotted if they were there and I wasn't expecting it. Like butter tarts, I like both with and without raisins, but unexpected raisin is unpleasant.

Why am I annoyed by AI? Being forced to use it for productivity reasons but also having to look at clearly wrong output. Sometimes it's useful for what I'm doing, but often it's wrong in frustrating ways. Pretty good for format shifting for data though (JSON, XML, yaml to table forms)

I keep seeing "we can use ai to automate this process" for some work shit and I am like... Then what is the point of that process if we get ai to do it? The process exists to force us to think about what we're doing. If an AI does it, wen aren't thinking about it. Kill the process, it is done.

The best office I worked in had 6 foot tall cubicle walls, and the cubicles were huge due to compliance reasons. Then I went to an open concept place and it sucked. Cubicles with big walls good. Open concept is annoying.

Look at the provincial tax rates and it'll give you some pause (we got Quebec level provincial taxes but not Quebec level services). But like... It's not too bad here really. You definitely hit a good weather time.
