This is like a scene from my garage but Japanese and clean.

This would be way better and create some way more interesting cars to say the least.

3rd time’s a charm!!!

Oh… oh no…. How dare they!

My MG really only has two - a small leak from the timing chain cover and one from the diff drain bolt. I’m sure there’s one or two more, but they never manifest to the point of forming drips, hah.

lol 😂

I doubt it’s that similar but there are just random parts of the Europa, both trim and mechanical, that are basically unobtainable. How big a deal this would be on an only-ten-year-old Lotus, no idea..
comment in response to post
I wonder how many Lotus-specific parts it has that are difficult to get and/or very expensive to replace.

I sat in one at a car show years ago and was surprised at how confining those seats were. I am by no means a large person, either, hah. They looked awesome though.

Nice. This has got to be extremely rare…

Not supporting things like Head Start and Preschool for All and free school lunches for all 100% make you you a bad person.

They’re nice to have. I almost like them the most in the winter as it’s nice to let a little extra sunlight in.

Sometimes, using my hands to apply pressure to the top of my head has been helpful.

This is true, and, I guess stuff like this is sometimes what makes cars interesting. You keep going down this road too much and you take away all the cool stuff for being mostly pointless, haha.

Yup. Although with the Integra it’s funny because it also has normal seats and softer suspension tuning than the Type-R. It’s just curious to me although I do get their rationale. If I was being jaded I’d say they couldn’t charge more if it had the moonroof and they save $ building them without it.
comment in response to post
True enough. I mean, I like how it has an aluminum hood and how the aero stuff is all (or mostly) functional so 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
It wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but sometimes I wish it had it. I am mostly surprised they didn’t do it because every other Integra body has it and yeah - this is a street car anyway. This it the only Honda product I’ve owned without one, S2000 aside.

I miss seeing them so much!

We’ve been though 3 dryers and 2 washing machines over the past 9 years ☠️

Anecdotally, my experience with appliances is that they are both less reliable and less repairable than they were even 20 years ago. Drastically in some cases.
comment in response to post
Like a modern Fiero, hah.

At least they standardized it. The one in my Europa isn’t shared with anything else and a huge $ pain to get, haha.

Is that an ashtray in the sill?

Thanks. This was probably the most labor intensive way I could have done this. Was inspired by one of the works rally cars:

Thanks!

My freshman roommate in college (1995) would not stop playing Jagged Little Pill so I had to get over that a little bit, haha.

Ah, cool.

Ah. It just means weathered steel? Intentionally rusted?

I have no idea what that is so I looked it up. Possibly? Seems not quite that high end.

Thanks!

She seemed tiny and sort of exploding with energy. It’s funny, you never know who is going to be good vs awful live. She was great. Her brother opened for her. He wasn’t as great, lol.

Saw her once because she was in town and whatever. Turned out to be one of the better concerts I’ve been to, she was amazing, haha.

This thing is proving to be damn good.
comment in response to post
Maybe but this feels and looks so bad.

Yeah I really have no idea, other than it just wasn’t worth it with so few cars made. I sort of like the RV8 but also find it kind of a bizarre thing to have built.

The steering column comes in way beneath all that. There really shouldn’t be any significant issue here. The sloppy red circles are where the steering column goes through the firewall:

Yeah, I don’t think they did make a factory LHD that they actually sold. People doing this on their own isn’t that unusual though. Can see a bunch here. I think the original V8 back then was like 130ish HP. www.britishv8.org/Photos-MG-Co...
comment in response to post
I think the hardest thing on the RV8 would be dash and interior trim. Otherwise I think it’s just a steering rack and relocating the brake and clutch cylinders and bracket. There’s probably a couple other things but I really don’t think that much. You can kind of see the symmetry here:
comment in response to post
It should be easy. MGB chassis all have all the holes/mounting points for all the RHD and LHD stuff no matter what they were built as. I doubt they changed that in the RV8 but I don’t really know.
