Thinking about it, could that be Hughie Green?

I have no idea who that one is but until you said “Reg” I was convinced that one was Deidre Barlow out of Corrie!

There was something weird about the mid-70s it would seem…
Greg Pruitt and Mike Pruitt were both RBs for the Browns between 1976 & 1981 and were not related.
Jack Youngblood and Jim Youngblood both played defense for the Rams between 1973 & 1983 and were not related.

It’s a nice idea but what the train companies need to do first is start enforcing the rules in their already existing “quiet” carriages.

Hell on Earth was sooo good! Interesting story by Bloch, good script from Fleming but it’s Giffen’s art that makes it. He’s at the peak of his Munoz period and the 16 panel grid he employs throughout the book just draws the reader in.

It was Dilip Vengsarkar when the rankings were launched in 1987 but they’ve gone back and calculated the best player for every year and the first was the Aussie Charles Bannerman in 1877. The first Indian to be the best was Sunil Gavaskar in 1978

But I enjoy being a parent and spending time with my children and so therefore I enjoy my life.
If you think parenthood is something to be “endured” rather than “enjoyed” then having kids probably isn’t for you.

I’ve watched my NFL Gamepass via the DAZN app on my Samsung tv for the past couple of years and have had zero problems with it. In fact, it works far better than the old NFL Gamepass app ever did.

That’s a retcon. For the first ~40 years it did mean S for Super. It was the 1978 movie that first changed it to mean something else (not “hope” though - the first mention of that was in 2004)

Of the time on a six. If you hit a single, the ball is in play about the same amount of time but takes far less time to get back to the bowler. Therefore more sixes mean proportionately less time the ball is in play… are sizes less exciting than singles?
comment in response to
post
I’m not even sure that’s true. Take cricket - if you hit a six, the ball is in play for about 6 secs (from when it leaves the bowlers hand until it crosses the rope) - it then takes a minute or so for the ball to return to play (when it leaves the bowlers hand again) - so the ball is in play 10%

“Real” football
Fun fact: there are 7 sports called football played around the world* and only one of them predominantly uses the foot to play the ball - what’s “real”?
* Association, Rugby (Union & League), Gaelic, Aussie Rules, American & Canadian

My point was more that “time the ball is technically in play” is a stupid way of measuring how entertaining/exciting a sport is. (I love both cricket and American football…)

A T20 cricket match lasts about the same amount of time and the ball is in play for a similar amount of time too
