What cost specifically? Social development?

That's not true at all. I'm low risk and got the vaccine 3/23/21, but I had to drive several hours away. I know high risk folks that got it in January.

Mockery is considered as a legit strategy to undermine autocrats. Please do better. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/21/o...

Except for The Revenue Act of 1964. What about that one?

What shift to the right? They lost because of effective MAGA propaganda, and the global anti-incumbency phenomenon combined with Harris not distancing herself from Biden's policies.

This approach does not "toss out those voters". It's not binary. This issue increases voter turnout for MAGA. We can take that away from them.

It's not a liability? Ok, what is a winning argument for the sports issue? What arguments have been easily won?

At least they corrected the bad branding decision, unlike FedEx who killed the Kinko's brand.

DJI pioneered/popularized consumer drones. I agree the base tech came from military-industrial. But tech company innovations made it available for consumers, which is the point.

They are useful without needing to be autonomous...

Some of that is valid, but massive breakthroughs are still happening. Google literally has cars that drive themselves! Drones and Gen AI are extremely useful. Fusion power plants are being built! Quantum computing chips have been developed!

The problem is the polling. He's at -5, but should be -40. That shows that people don't care. And you're wrong about being passive. In the history of the world, when has passivity worked out as a response to tyranny?

Per ChatGPT, she represents LESS than 5% of Cobb Co. That means more than 95% of the County is not represented by MTG. Do you understand percentages?
comment in response to post
Land is not something that is represented. People are. That area is sparsely populated comparatively. What is it 10% of the County population? 5%? So 90 something percent is represented by someone else.
comment in response to post
She absolutely does not represent Cobb County. Check the maps.

Do we make it out of this? How do we convince folks that authoritarianism is bad?

In Trump's speech yesterday, he implied that trade deficits caused the $36T in federal debt. That's absurd.

We are several months away from anything like that. The first step would be to remove tariff power from POTUS. Step two, eliminate the tariffs. Step three, stimulus to get us out of the recession we'll certainly be in.

Why didn't you ask her how it makes sense to issue mostly short term debt instead of long bonds when interest rates were so low?!

I didn't expect the most unhinged comment I saw this week to come from the left! Please make coherent arguments.

I missed that speech as I'm sure most voters did. Being VP was a negative. Incumbents losing elections was a global phenomenon.
comment in response to post
This is true. But if we take the sports issue from them, they won't have any traction except with the far right.

Can't disagree there. It wasn't a good look.

Kamala did amazing given the situation. She was kneecapped by being an incumbent, along with other issues out of her control.

It's not a winning issue for Dems: www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

And he didn't draw a line in the sand on an issue that could cause him to lose. Win the election first. Then try to change sentiment.

The base is going to show up regardless. This issue is not as popular as Dems think: www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

Do you want to win elections or not? Did Obama support gay marriage in 2008? He didn't because he wanted to win.

Certainly you mean responsible for the slow recovery from the recession? That's kind of a big detail to mess up on your part.

I've told Kai multiple times that McConnell didn't have the votes. He acts like it was solely McConnell's decision.

That's not really an argument. Every corporation is anti-union.
