Think it's pretty clear the only city officials who wanted a casino by Citi Field don't live in the impacted areas. The current transit system can't even handle a Met game, the US Open, a concert, the second coming of Cthulhu...whatever.

I don't know what Polygon looks like after this and I wouldn't dare assume. I just know what an incredible incubator for young talent that site was, and how many terrific writers and personalities came through that place. They made a good games website when hardly anyone was doing that anymore.

News editors: This is going to be a huge year for gaming news and you will want that traffic. You can't do better than Polygon's reporters. We're getting possibly the biggest console and game launches (Switch 2, GTA VI), Roblox's gangbuster growth, regulatory scrutiny, etc--big stories.
