Print media is always overlooked in all industries, although (especially with regards to magazines) it's often incredibly difficult to find them even if you *want* to support them.
I can happily say that I couldn't have done any more to support Edge over the years though!

Ah brilliant, really glad you enjoyed it! I was a little worried it might suffer a bit since you played it *right* after the 3 Ueda games.
And yeah, quite unexpectedly emotional come the end eh!

Good aren’t they! I love the first two.
There are some more free ones on the My Nintendo website too. You have to log in and redeem them though.

I’m not sure. This is where they are, lots of them are available to redeem for 0 points

Glad to hear it! It’s the same for me too. I definitely played multiplayer N64 games waaaaay more than any other console.
It helped that I was 12-15ish years old during the N64 days so had plenty of time on my hands!

Absolutely. I’d say the majority of my best gaming memories involve the N64 🥲

It’s still the console that means the absolute most to me.
(Lovely collection you have there by the way 👏)

Oh I bet! I’d love to write something about it at some point. Not least the fact that it’s one of very few games that not only doesn’t age, but actually seems to get *more* impressive the older it gets! Haha

That’s exactly it. The game just *feels* so good to play.
It’s nearly 30 years old and I don’t think anything has matched the way it depicts the feeling of interacting on and with water. Not even its own sequel!

Yeah I enjoyed it. Pretty simple overall but it controls really nicely and that music *really* elevates the whole experience

Haha, sounds like a great day to me!

Haha, definitely. I haven’t actually played it since the N64 days so I should really play it again sometime. As I mentioned I really enjoyed it at the time

It’s brilliant, isn’t it. After all this time the gameplay (and water!) simply never dates.

Reading all of the comments on here over the last few days I was starting to think I was the only person in the world who’d never played it 😅
Glad to know there’s at least two of us!

Yeah the game was stunning at the time. Those weather and rain effects in particular as you say.
Definitely helped by all of us getting HD TVs for the first time around then!

Yeah I agree with that, and lots of games are getting very bloated these days.
At least they’re not selling all of these characters, costumes and customisations as extras like most games I guess (albeit with a very high price of entry!)

I’m the same. I pick Yoshi and the default kart and glider every time, haha. Boring I know, but I just like how the default kart looks and handles 🤷🏻♂️
I have no issue with lots of characters for people to choose from though, and it makes the races more varied at least!

It was! It was on an arcade cabinet in the game's garage! 😀

Absolutely. And they also made Geometry Wars, so I will forever be a fan!

PGR 4 was brilliant, definitely my favourite of the PGR series

A fantastic game and a great start to the series. Although, the *true* start of the series was Metropolis Street Racer on DC, haha, which was also fantastic 😀

Haha. The very few times someone has managed to beat me to Yoshi I'll always go for Toad. But I won't be happy about it 😂

I loved this game!
It's one of those games where it feels as though you were the only one who played it, haha. So I always love when I see people mention it.

No problem at all. If you do end up playing Papo & Yo at some point I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. It's one I've always fancied playing.
I'm a little surprised you didn't click with Rime, going by the kind of things you put on here!

I do remember it (and a game called Papo & Yo which I always thought looked similar) but I never played it, unfortunately.
One I can recommend which is very Ueda-inspired is Rime, if you haven't played it. It has a very similar light-platforming/light-puzzling vibe as Ico and looks GORGEOUS
