I mean look at the vitriol thrown at you here in this echo chamber for simply having a thought that is different from theirs. Maybe humans weren’t ready for the internet. Maybe we aren’t evolved enough.

The problem isn’t Bluesky. The problem is humans. Arguments and outrage fuel engagement. People WANT to be mad on the internet. They WANT to argue. So they’ll go where there is an abundance of voices they can be mad at.

Well shit, there’s not enough cars on lots because they aren’t building them. Lol. They’re laying everyone off. I work for Stella and I’ve worked a total of 4 weeks this year.

Disloyalty? She saw her job through to the very end. If anything she was TOO loyal. I’m sure her deconstructing her blind loyalty and obedience had a lot to do with her leaving the party. It’s takes guts to do what she did. Much more so than just being outraged on the internet.

We can’t fix what we don’t acknowledge.

She simply decided to leave the party and is now an independent. That doesn’t mean she’ll never vote for a Democrat again. And it doesn’t mean that she has joined the Republicans. I It does nobody any good to stick their head in the sand and pretend there aren’t fundamental fractures in the party.

Yikes. 😬 Is this where we are now? Calling people pathetic for independent, critical thinking and having agency to make personal decisions about what’s best for them? Blind loyalty to a party we are not happy with isn’t good on either side. Independent thought isn’t pathetic.

With all due respect I think your reaction to this video proves you need to see more of these videos. The current online ecosystem breeds constant anger. People need more calming nature videos to break up the rage just a bit.

They are so disconnected from the actual communities that they think turning online humor into practice is doing something. Like they’re really just scrolling on tik tok to get the measure of what the people want and need instead of putting their boots on the ground.

Yikes. 😬 Probably best to NOT use a diminutive when addressing someone as credentialed and influential as Sherrilyn Ifill.

Meh. I wish Netflix had never bought Black Mirror and Americanized it. It’s really no surprise that they’d use subscription tiers as a plot point. Sure it’s relevant but it’s not novel or exciting. I miss the prescience and the grit of the British episodes.

There is nothing surprising about a page called “More Births” being populated by nothing but freaks of a sort. Lol.

Travel writer Chuck Thompson wrote a book called Better Off Without ‘Em: A northern manifesto for southern succession. It is both depressing and hilarious.

They definitely want ALL the children born. But skin color decides which ones will be afforded a pittance wage in the working class and which ones will be paid no wages in prison.
