Love this list; I added so many titles to my list of books to check out! My recommendation is Dread Nation by @justinaireland.com Civil-war era zombies. I’m a scaredy-cat but I couldn’t put it down! www.harpercollins.com/products/dre...

If you like retellings, Heartless by HG Parry was also good

I adore @natashapulley.bsky.social All of her books are an automatic pre-order. Her most recent “Hymn to Dionysius” is my favourite so far: beautifully weird

Excellent article ! J'ai apprécié ma visite aux archives CBH l'été dernier. Ayant des ancêtres qui ont travaillé pour le CBH, j'espère que les archives seront toujours financées.

This isn’t a tool I’ve ever played with before, but now I’m thinking about how I can use this to enhance my teaching. I would love a “cause of death” dimension. I need to build a family medical history tree and given how easy it is to share, DNA Painter is the ideal place to host it.

In trying to figure out what the name of the book I had read was I discovered that apparently I need to reread Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, but first I’m rereading the Between Earth and Sky series by Rebecca Roanhorse ‘cause the 3rd book just came out

I really love this time period, and I thoroughly enjoyed A Radical Act of Free Magic by HG Parry. Alternative history is my jam!
