Just need to say this because this is a huge point of contention to Americans protesting in LA. Many are Americans but still harassed by ICE simply because thet target people who aren't white. This is why LA bubbled over (and an extremely unnecessary use of force rapidly increasing tensions)

Hispanic in LA does not always mean immigrants. The area has a high amount of Mexican Americans. Many are born and raised Americans. There are families that can seriously trace their heritage back to when Mexico owned the area in LA. A lot of what you see has to do with who actually lives in LA
