You’re saying billionaires shouldn’t exist to the guy giving away his entire fortune. You’re really not very smart, are you?

If you don’t want people commenting on your wrong opinions don’t post in public forums. Bill gates and Microsoft are two different entities. Bill gates stopped running it 25 years ago. Any tax disputes ongoing happened after he left. He never avoided paying taxes. So yeah, you’re wrong. Cope

Sounds like you just like to shit on American men even when they are giving away 100’s of billions of dollars to charity. Xenophobic prick.

Projection and gaslighting amd tantrum throwing are the tools of idiots who can’t defend their own arguments. Now as I originally said go crawl back into the swamp you crawled out of troll.

You can feel free to stop spreading bullshit online. Do your research before spouting lies dumb fuck.

So you can’t show me where bill gates has illegally avoided paying taxes. Causing the entire core of your argument to crumble to dust.

Show me where bill gates is avoiding paying taxes. You are moving goal posts all over the place.

Show me where Gates illegally avoided paying taxes.

Yeah and that system also determines what rich people have to pay in taxes. Just like you he gets to do what he wants with his money. There are literally people looting our government but let's bitch about Gates giving away 99% of his money to good causes.
comment in response to post
Also he has paid 18.5% in taxes which is a few percent lower than the average tax rate. But that small percent would not come close to what he’s giving away. So what you wrote was a not very well thought out critique of his generosity.

Do you have a point? Yes I’m American. Gates is giving 99% of his wealth away. Even still, where do you think all that tax money would go. Maybe he would fund the deportations or the increased defense spending with Trumps agenda, who shows every inclination to squander.
comment in response to post
I did, do you have any concept of the implications of what you wrote?

Are you fucking serious? This is what you have to say to him for this selfless act? Why don’t you crawl back into the swamp you came out of.

Victory is he and his kleptocracy making money from the losses of our 401k’s.

Nothing says corruption more than the richest man in the world paying for voters to advance his agenda that only benefits himself.

Well now we know why democrats keep losing elections. You guys can’t mentally hold it together even within your own party you push people away. Let me know how that works out for you. You’d do well to take your own advice.

It’s vital that you understand that giving more power to Trump, not less, is a bad thing and maybe when you start understanding things like that you’ll stop losing elections.

You’re ignoring a vital part of my response.

Congress provides checks and balances more so than the consolidated power of the executive branch in a shut down. You can argue that passing this bill bypasses that, but I would not put it past Trump to go above and beyond what Congress allows when he has the power to do so.
comment in response to post
More than what Congress has allowed. They would get to selectively fund or shutdown whatever they want. Keep paying loyalists furlough dissenters etc. They’ll gladly keep it shutdown until dems cave, only a lot more damage will have occurred by then. Schumer took the option of causing less damage.
comment in response to post
No he doesn’t have all the power. He would in a shut down though.
comment in response to post
In a shut down the executive branch gains broader power without Congress. How is that better.

I read this book when I was 16. Crazy to see this cover here after all these years. It was great, btw.

Oh he knows.

Let’s not mince words. Trump has authoritarian aspirations and he aligns himself with other authoritarians for that reason. We saw this coming a mile away. It’s no longer possible to ignore this. He is a threat to our values and needs to be stopped.

boycott all of his businesses.

Why don’t you talk to the people who have been fired and layed off and elevate their stories? Democrats need to do so much more right now.
comment in response to post
There’s no guarantee of that. Once you destroy the basic tenets of democracy you put yourself on a fast track to authoritarianism. In America it’s easy to take for granted because we haven’t been here before. But Trump is proving that democracy is much more fragile than we thought.
